I recently shaved for the first time too, more my accident than anything. I like the look, and I like the feel, but I HATE the ITCHING. Any ideas on this? I've used a zillion lotions and potions, but to no real avail...

Welcome DangerousPenguin! Yes, the itching. All of us in shaved pubs world truly understand the agony of the return growth of hair. Basically, if you don't want the itch, you got to continue to shave, or use some great cream with lanoline. I definatley love the Coochy Shave Cream to shave with, since it does have Lanolin in it and it keeps your freshly shaved area soft and supply. Otherwise, you can continue the use of great cream while letting it grow out, then just trim your hair down to about an 1/8" so that it is a nice clean shaven area without going down to the bare skin and having the "itch". Anyone else have some other ideas?

Thanks for the welcome. I absolutely adore your site, which I got linked to through the Liberator site (I bought a wedge/ramp combo as a suprise for the boy, and I'm very eagerly awaiting it's arrival). Thanks also for the lanoline tip -- I have extremely sensitive skin, so anything without added chemicals always works best. Will give it a go, because I'm loving the hairlessness.

A couple of months ago I had told Taz I didn't need anything else for by Birthday (he had already gotten me a beautiful gift) and then he sent me an email with a link to the Liberator site. WOW! I quickly changed my mind and we purchased the wedge/ramp combo - they are fantastic! I especially like the wedge - it puts me at the perfect angle - on either my back or stomach. We have used them on the floor also - really great!! The ramp at the edge of the bed puts me at just the right height for my tall Taz. I hope you enjoy them! (Have you heard about their 'Black Label' line of shapes - you can be 'cuffed' to them!)
Shaving:
I have been shaving for some time now and have tried many different razors, trimmers, etc. I have very sensitive skin and the itching can be a real problem. Taz has also shaved but I don't like the stubble when it starts to grow out. This might sound weird, but I missed his beautiful dark hair and asked that he let it grow back for at least awhile. I love the way it looks and the feel of it. It never really seemed to get it my way, no matter what we did. He has just recently been checking out some cock rings so he might want to trim it up again if it's too uncomfortable - maybe just a partial trim.
Has anyone had the area waxed? What did you think and where did you get it done?
See post in the toys department about our shapes, which arrived today. As for shaving, I've discovered that Penaten cream is great, thanks to my mother. I shyly told her about my dilemma (we're not a very open family that way) and the 72-year-old sweatheart didn't skip a beat before saying "I always used Penaten for that, dear". I have had my legs waxed on occasion, but I really don't enjoy the sensation of strangers touching me so I don't think I could ever bring myself to have more vulnerable areas done. The boy loves the new look and feel, and asked if I would like him to do similar. I actually love his hair, which is also dark and very curly and cute. He's already a good size and has remarkable staying power (too remarkable), so I we've never used a cock ring. Given the four dogs and two cats, its much more likely that I get a pet hair than a pube at the back of my tongue when I go down on him. If we could just shave the beasts...

I have been shaving since Valentines day and love the feel of it. DH shaves all also and we both enjoy the look and feel of him also. The problem is my hair is very fast growing so I must shave just about every day or at least every other day to keep smooth. The expense of a new razor every day is getting out of control. I did buy the body bare shaver and really like it alot although it is not quite as smooth as shaving but very close. I would really love to just get it waxed but don't know where to go, who to ask and hate the thought of having to let it grow for 2 weeks to get the length needed for waxing, any suggestions?? Honey

Thanks for the info on Penaten - have to give that a try. I didn't come from an open family either, but I can see my mom saying the same thing.
About the cock rings - Taz definitely has the size and staying power for my needs, but he wanted to try them to see what they were like (might have had something to do with Freddy & Eddy's love of these things)
We both like them and he uses them once in awhile. He just tried the metal type (after a zillion measurements because he couldn't believe he could get 'the family' in such a small ring - and he definitely needs the largest size). Of course he looked fabulous in it, but then he always does to me - so it will be interesting to see if these things become a staple in our growing toy box.
It's good to hear someone else loves that dark curly hair - I was starting to think I was getting weird!LOL We have pugs that shed like crazy (a cat and guinea pigs also) and understand about the beasts!

Honeydew,
I wondered how long you had to grow it before getting it waxed. I'm in So. Calif. so I'm sure there are alot of places to go, just not sure if I'm ready to endure that kind of pain!LOL Wonder if it's worth it? Might just have to give it a try at least once - would love it to be really smooth for more that a day!
Bast, from another site I read that it needs to be at least 1/4' long for a good waxing. I guess for me it would be a max of 2 weeks and it supposed to grow back much softer and lighter. We have a couple of day spas here so that is probably where I will start. We are going on a cruise in October so I would love a wax and not have to mess with shaving for a while. As for the pain, my last baby was 10 lbs and I delivered natrual with no pain killers, if I can do that I can wax. I did read to take benedryl to prevent hives. Honey

What's up with the animal families, Bast & Honeydew?! Gee, I thougt my two cats where pure torture! You two have us beat, hands down. The pain of waxing really depends on your level of tolerence. If you've had waxing on your eyebrows and or upperlip, it's about the same pain threshold. Realize, that they only do a small patch at a time and they hold the area being waxed very taunt, so not to stretch and damage your skin. Now, being Asian, my hair follicle is pretty thin, although around my pub area, they are pretty coarse, so they will be a bit more sensitive. I think that most people are scared when they hear that "RRRRRrrrrip" sound as they pull off the tape and the honey base solution. If you do do the spa deal, they usually ask that you come in earlier than your scheduled treatment so that you can use the spa. This is great, so now you can sit in the jacuzzi and relax 1/2 hour snd get your skin and follicle area soft(from the heat) and then have your waxing. When you do try the waxing, give it more than one try. The first time is always the worse, since more or less you are nervous and tense. I love both ways, shaving and waxing. They both have their pros and cons, and just like your hairstyle, you have to change it often to give yourself a fresh look or just to get that change to make you feel good. Nothing beats a freshly done do, especially after a great waxing! Have fun you two

I feel mortally wounded by being left out of the too many pets comment considering that we only keep them around for notoriety's sake. Actually, the boy brought a dog into the relationship, as did I. Then I got another one (sucker for punishment) and we always have a foster around because border collies (my only addiction) tend often to end up in the wrong homes and then need rescuing. Neither one of us would claim responsibility for introducting the cats to the melange, but they're good entertainment and we don't have cable. Odd creatures, cats, as Bast should know.
I do find it funny how the pets react to the boy and I when we get it on. Reuben will always turn away with his back to us and I can just hear him saying "oh gawd, they're at it again". Tilley, my codependent, is always very anxious to ensure that the boy isn't hurting me and Willow, who has the most upbeat and flirtatious personality of any dog I've ever met, would love to join in. If human and unspayed, Willow would have been a porn star. I often look over at the dogs and break out into laughter when we're making love because they're doing something funny. The cats, on the other hand, are a different story. Alley ignores us in love, as in all other things. Spike is a used condom addict, and always lurks on the sidelines hoping to get one. Its really, really disgusting I know, but we've had a couple late-night trips to the emergency vet on his behalf.
How do other people's animals react to your sex life?

PS - Beyond the boy and studying, my dogs are the staple of my social life so if it seems to you that I'm freakishly interested in my pets, you're absolutely correct.

LMAO!! I loved reading that post - your animals sound like a real hoot! (I think maybe Eddy got some of us animal lovers mixed up.) We have cable and they are still more entertaining.
Pugs! First they don't realize they are dogs. They are very needy creatures, just the opposite of the cat. They are always watching us. As soon as we start something, especially in the kitchen, the biggest pug starts howling at us - maybe because we are just too close to the food! We can't even kiss in there without some reaction from them. (My daughter is the one who says "Do you HAVE to do that!) We have to have TWO doors separating the pugs from us to have any privacy. If left just outside our bedroom door they will snort, howl, claw, push against the door, anything to try and figure out what we are doing in there. Its hard not to crack up when you are really getting into it and I hear the dogs breathing, snorting, and sniffing over any noise we might be making, and the big pug is LOUD!
One time while we were cuddling on the couch, my dh is stroking my arm and one of the pugs puts his head so close to my arm that Taz starts stroking it - thinking to himself - I didn't know her arm was so furry - I guess it took a minute for it to register. We try and keep them off the couch when we are on it, but as soon as my attention is on Taz, one of them tries to sneek up on it. I know, they are pugs, it's useless!!
Ha! I have a couple of friends at agility with pugs and they are very funny little dogs. The antics they will go through to get praise, attention and food never cease to amaze me. Border collies work for the love of working but pugs have to be bribed to do everyting. Jasper once finished the first half of our practice course then sat down and refused to budge before he got a treat, an then he finished the second half.
The sound of those little noses snorting around under the door would make me howl every time ("Hey. We know you're in there! What's going on in there?"). The boy and I have a loft bedroom, so its sort of a free-for-all show if we're up there. If we're in one of the studies and we close the door, I can 100% guarantee that Spike will show up, slide on paw and arm under the door, and wave it around as if demanding "where's my condom?!?".
Funny creatures, for sure. Can't imagine life without them.

4 cats, 2 are Maine Coons and 2 are Humane Society retreads, and a 100+lbs Golden at our house. He is the biggest Golden I have ever seen! Oh and two frogs. Unfortunately the ant farm got left outside. Who knew ants in glass would get hot in Texas
The dog is to busy burying his dinner bones in the backyard to worry if my husband is doing the same with his to me. Only one cat cares if she is locked out of the bedroom and cries at the door. Then when we open the door she walks around for 45 minutes on the bed bitching and complaining. I told her to remember what happened to the ants

Maine coons, eh? I'm very jealous -- they're almost like dogs. Unfortunately we live at the corner of busy and hectic, so the cats are held captive. This is fine with Spike, whom we've had since he was 6 weeks and who is deathly afraid of "out there". Alley, on the other hand, is challenge to confine and we often wonder why we work so hard at keeping her in when, if she got out, we could be rid of her for good. I will tell her about the ants. I bet they eat less, too...
