Two part question; first, it's friggin' broiling here in LA (even near the beach, where we live). With no air conditioning, I'd like to know HOW the HELL do we keep cool??? I mean, we have ceiling fans in 3 of our 4 rooms running full blast and the house is still an oven!!! Every year this happens and lasts through the whole summer. Enough already - HELP!!! Any tips?



Second part; how do you get worked up for sex when it's so darned hot? I'm just dead from the heat...

Freddy how to stay cool? Move up to lovely southern Alberta! I'm freakin freezing and totally unmotivated to go to work. Just want to lay in bed under my nice warm blankie and if cutie is home he can snuggle up too.

I don't know if I want to change places with you tigzbabe. I've always said if it aint 80 degrees, it's COLD! But we do get those heat waves. I think to answer Freddy's questions is to get a bowl of ice cubes(put some yummy fruit inside them) and cool off with those all over each other. I guarantee that things will get hot pretty fast! In fact, I think my ice cubes are about ready. Please excuse me while I go attack Freddy in the other room!

No changing places Eddy awww please?? It's finally starting to warm up here. It should do it's wonderful 0-80 in two days soon then I'll be joining you in complaining its too hot! The year I was pregnant I was living in a trailer (read oven!) and ithit over 40'C here. I lived in the bath tub...just kept filling it up with cold water!
The ice cube idea sounds much more fun though...where's cutie gone...*wanders off*

Tig, excuse my lack of geographical knowledge (wait, hold on, this IS the internet after all, lemme go see where you are...). Oh, hey, Edmonton! And Calgary, too! Interestingly enough, my wife's entire family is from Victoria, now spread out all over the place in BC. We've visited a couple of times and it's lovely. Hey, shit, you've even got Banff there! Cool, my dad loves that place. You must be mighty north to still be cold, eh?

I'm actually only a couple of hours north of the US border but someone seems to be playing a cruel joke on us. It will warm up after May long (memorial day I think for those of you stateside) and then the fun will begin. I gotta get cutie outta his shell a little more before that happens though. We've enough fields round here that the stars should be getting quite a show this year and I'l be fulfiling some fantasies!

You've already missed one big date. From somewhere in my mispent youth comes this little rhyme:

Outdoor fucking begins today."

Missed this year, but I've celebrated some years. And that includes the 8 years I lived in the Yukon. (It may be chilly, but the bomber-size mosquitoes aren't out yet)

My, what a quaint little diddy, Blue! That sounds like a holiday that would go over well here in the States. Hell, we have a holiday for everything else!

And how is all this keeping me hot while cool, may I ask? Summer is here and our house is baking! Bomber size mosquitos? Oh man, heck no - our smog has luckily killed 'em all off down here!

Freddy my guess is that you're always going to be hot with Eddy around! Learn to relax and enjoy it. Seriously we love the heat, it makes us feel sexier than ever. There's nothing nicer than getting sweaty after a cool shower and then having to cool off again. It's cold here now so we top up the central heating with more heating in our room. I like love on the bed rather than in the bed, besides it's hard to be sexy when you're teeth are chattering!

PS Reclining on thick towel with your partner gently soothing your hot bits with a wet flannel and cool kisses, while a fan blows a fresh breeze can be rather nice too. Although be warned it almost always leads to heat generation of one kind or another.

EEEEeeeewwww!!! Hot and sticky sex? I'm all for "on the bed," but not when it's swelteringly hot and getting my "funk" all over the sheets Nope, showered and silky smooth is the place I wanna be!

Rain says it's getting nice and cool in the Southern Hemisphere. Sounds like time for a road (air) trip tp me.
