Hey all...in the course of a long and winding (and might I say early morning) IM...somehow my love and I ended up with thoughts of using a popsicle. Something about the cold, the shape, I'm still unsure how we got there but darned if it hasn't been rolling around in my brain all day. Has anyone ever tried that? Ideas, thoughts, suggestions?

Try a glass toy instead! You can chill them up nicely in the fridge and they'll last a lot longer than a popsicle! Not quite as fun to lick up, I suppose. On the other side, you can also warm them up in hot water for a different experience. But I admit, I enjoy the chilly side.

I have a couple of them and I just love 'em. But beware, they are addicting...

I'm with Michie on the glass toy idea. QUeston: have you ever used ice cubes? Those can be fun, but with the amount of heat you're producing down there they melt super fast. And to be honest, I would be worried about putting anything with a lot of sugar in my crotch--sticky yucky mess that can just go all wrong.

So, yeah...glass toys are the way to go.

Well, speaking from experience, I can say it SOUNDS better than it actually is. Ice cream sundays, popsicles, fruit, and all that other stuff usually results in nothing more than a messy kitty that needs a good showering.

The glass toy idea is good, but beware; our first goes with warm and cold ended up disastrous, as we heated it too much (your hand is NOT a good indicator of proper temperature!) and burned my poor wife's most precious area something fierce. Likewise, we chilled it in the freezer, which had the opposite effect and caused her to leap 10 feet out of bed. In both cases, we couldn't have sex for a couple of days!

The best way to heat or cool glass (or any other kind of toy) is to dip in in warm or cold water, taking care to use lower temperature water than your hand may indicate. Then, touch it to the inner thigh before going downtown.

I would agree with Freddy anything that can melt is not usually a good idea... horribly messy. Yes do take care with the temperature of a glass toy too

Anything with sugar can seriously upset the balance down there (does Splenda have the same effect??? I don't know!)especially in regard to yeast infections. I know I have been told to keep the flavored oils away from the kitty - for down there switch to KY or ID.

The glass toy does sound like a great alternative. I have been massively hinting for one myself! (with poor results so far I might add...I am probably going to take matters into my own hands, so to speak)

The flavored lubes made with Splenda will give you no problems. We sell a line from Sliquid that was developed specifically because of allergic reactions from the company founder's wife. Shunga and Kama Sutra also produce a line of non-sugar flavored lubes that are very tasty.

Yes, the research can be hazardous at times! LOL The burning experience was far worse than the chilling one, but neither was pleasant. Although this was an undeniably bad episode, it's nowhere near as unpleasant as some of the other things we've tried. Since our site focuses on the positive only, you don't get to read the stories of the stuff that's gone horribly wrong. You may be surprised to hear this, but about 7 out of 10 products we try do NOT make it on to our site. We just got a shitload from Doc Johson, for example (vibes, dildos, fake pussies, etc.) that are absolute crap. Cheap, plastic junk made in China that is manufactured with only ONE goal - to make lots of money regardless of whether or not it will add anything of value to one's sex life. Anyway, that's a subject for a whole 'nuther thread.

Our glass blowers at Xhale (www.solidglasssextoys.com) are now making these nifty pouches you can pop in the micro or freezer, then put your glass toy in them to get your desired temperature.

LOL! I was kidding, it never even occured to me that there were oils made with Splenda - I was kinda referring to the popsicles since I know those have Splenda. But now that you mention it, it only makes sense.

Now those ice packs/warmer packs sound really good!

And you know, it might not be a bad idea to post about the hazardous research events. Might save some of us from a painful or costly fate! I would have popped the glass toy in the freezer to chill it off in a heartbeat!

Thanks for chiming in everyone! It was just one of those crazy notions. It just so happens that I just got a beautiful glass wand that Skitz gave me for my birthday last week...so I'll go that route. Thanks to Freddy for going the extra mile to make that happen for us. So far so good and experimenting away. Cooling it down is the next trick

We like chocolate bars. Try freezing a Flake or something similar. It gets a bit messy but it is great fun. )

Through all the discussion one hazzard of using any sweet for actual penetration can leave you open for a nasty yeast infection. If any is deposited into that wonderful one way pouch it could stay there and get a bactirial or fungal bloom as the indigionous bactiria find a new and taisty food source.

I suppose if you were realy keen on trying the idea you could buy one of those home made popcilcle kits where you poor juice into the mold and then incert the handle to the top and let freeze. Except use water instead of juice and then use a flavored lube, my favorite is the green apple flavor.

Personally think I will stick to the glass toys... less risk! The thought of a bit of chocolate flake getting stuck up inside kitty is not a particularly pleasant one.
