My first question would have to be this- are you normally lubricated in the sense of feminine discharge or are you finding that you become dry and the inner areas of your reproductive system rub together?

I ask this question because there are products out there that are inserted into the vaginal opening and are used specifically to keep the insides of the woman lubricated due to the aging process. Replens is one of them. Hope this helps

Hi anna! I don't think it's an unusual problem. I also don't get very wet, we have to use a lot of Sliquid, which is never a problem. I was on the Pill, and just switched to another form of b.c., and I'm pretty sure that the Pill had something to do with the amount of lubrication I would produce. I think it's getting better now, but time will tell.

Make sure that your guy understands that not all women become faucets when they become aroused. A lot of guys assume that you're not into whatever you are doing sexually because of the lack of lubrication, when usually that's not true. I know I could be the horniest gal out there, and, like you, NADA! So, make sure he realizes that it's not a big deal, and it's a pretty easy thing to fix, either through changing meds (maybe antihistimines like ajay said, Kathy's lubrication suggestion, or birth control) or just using a lot of lube.

ahan the thing is im 19 = ) not having vaginal,thus not taking pills. ive tried anal..anyway kathy i dont get the natural discharge. so even today everthing was dry lol so my guy rubbed a body lotion on his fungers. thats not harmful in anyway is it? cuz ill get carrying a nice scented lotion with me all the time now! hehehe

Anna I would suggest you use lube, which is meant for the inside of your vagina, rather than hand or body lotion which is not and could have ingredients that could really upset the chemistry of your vaginal tract. I'm not saying that if you are caught short you can't use lotion as an emergency lube but not on a regular basis. Take a look at the ones F&E sell sliquid being one of the best.

I tried Replens several years ago. Just a note of warning - Replens and oral sex don't mix. It numbs the tongue. Sliquid works well and even comes in flavors.

ssmama if you are suggesting Replens for anal I would advise against - you need to feel what is going on, both of you, to ensure there is no damage.

Thank goodness, never had that problem. 39 just went back on B.C. , take antihistamines. Never had to use anything for that. Wet, wet ,wet!
