About two years ago my wife had a complete hyst. Ever since then her sex drive has crashed and I have troubles bringing her to the big O. Any thoughts?

Some simple questions or thoughts. How old is she? Do you guys have children? How different is the sexual activity/enjoyment pre versus post?
Has she had follow up visits with her Doctor to discuss the changes? Hormones? Mental depression? I guess you can tell from my questions that I think you have an awful lot of possibilities present that a new DVD or sex toy won't solve. I recommend both of you go to her Doctor first to discuss the situation. Good luck |

I second the above post.
My mother had a complete hyst about fourteen years ago(ish) and had a hard time with her sex drive for a while; (we didn't talk about it then but once I was in full post partum psychosis with a dash of asexuality, we talked) she had to talk to her doctor about fixing the hormonal problems because of more than just the sex drive issue, which is something she'd never bring up to the doctor anyhow. (Runon sentences seem to be my speciality today) Anyhow, if your wife is experiencing a total and severe lack of sexual desire, it is probably a combination of several different hormones going out of whack and not necessarily just estrogen and other 'female' hormones. The brain does strange things after organ removal. Let us know how the doctor issue goes for you. ~Ang |
