Ok, not a sex question, but definately a how to related to the forums....how do you create the thumbnail pictures used on your message posts in the upper lefthand corner? Prefferably the animated ones?

Find a pic or gif you want to use, save it to your computer. Click on the GO button on the toolbar and click on my space. In the top right hand corner you'll see View/Edid Complete Profile, click on it then scroll down to where it says Avatar/Picture URL and click Edit. Click Custom Avatar in the pop up window and click Upload Custom Avatar and click Browse to select the file that you saved earlier. Just make sure that the pic or animation is within the file dimensions specified (120 x 120 pixels)

No prob!

I tried to change my avatar and only 1/2 of it posted. The size is okay - 100 x 100. Does anyone know why this happened? I did get an error message that said to try again later. I tried a couple of times and got the same message.

I'm sending this one on to Groupee support. It happened to me also.

can't get an avatar to load properly. what you see is what i get.

hey highlander. its best to upload an avatar to an outside photo host. flickr etc. if its of some nature controversial for the run of the mill photo host, there are people and threads here on the forum that can give you plenty of direction. just search!

JSGirl has had the same problems for quite some time. I've uploaded to this server, to external servers, etc etc. Her account won't update correctly either.

Not my avatar, but my screen name.

I accidentally mistook my username for my screen name and became paranoid that my students would recognize me and have me all over MySpace. Especially after the stalking epic last spring.

The source of my worry: My vanity plates are almost identical to my screen name.

There you have it.

Can I adjust my screen name without alienating my chat friends?
