I found this Canadian link for the magic line.

Now to decide which one to order, I will keep on trying to find a supplier in my area but atleast I have the option now.

[URL=http://www.abantu.com/html/shaving_products.html]

By the way, has any one out ther ever used any other hair removal brand other than the Magic stuff and if so, how did it work?

NN

Hum, I considered laser but having checked it out decided I was one of these whom it probably wouldn't work for - especially in summer the hair on my legs is lighter than my skin. No way would I let anyone with a laser near kitty...

NN Grump and I have tried a couple of creams, both burned slightly and did not do as good a job as my Venus Divine - I will try ordering one of the creams suggested for African guys to use on their beards which we can get in the UK and see what happens... I will test on my arm before letting anywhere near kitty though (I get my legs waxed so that is not an option for trying out)

Back on topic, does anyone know how successful, and expensive, the laser hair removal approach is?

Silk, I had my bikini area lasered, four treatments, and it cost me $900.00. Of course, I don't live in a big city so the price probably wasn't what it would be in CA or TX. Had it done by a licensed R.N at a medical facility with a good reputation. I was a good candidate, fair skin, dark hair. The treaments did hurt a little bit (got a few small burns each time, but they gave me cream to put on it afterwards) and they were spaced so that I had time to heal from the previous treatment. It wasn't as successful as I thought it would be.( Had thoughts of bareness forever and never having to shave again!!)Probably should have gone for six treatments, but ran out of extra funds, lol. It did get rid of quite a bit of hair, but shaving to wear a bikini is still on the list of things to do. I had thoughts of going for a racing stripe or close to all bare but I couldn't imagine that laser being any closer to my private bits than it was! Eeker
Anyway, it was a bit of a disappointment,(maybe I had my hopes too high)and if I had a choice now I probably wouldn't do it again, thinking the money would have been better spent on something a little more practical. (Like sex toys,LOL!) Not really much to add I guess that you couldn't read on the site paulsminx suggested,(pretty informative site) just my two cents. Smiler

Welcome back Keith! I always rejoice to hear someone has made it back in one piece!!! Now we're just waiting for Ranger...

I still prefer a wax. The waiting for the hair to grow back long-ish to be able to have it removed it offset by that fact that I am baby-butt smooth for so long with no knicks or bumps. However, it is about $70 a session and is a luxury I feel guilty about affording myself these days. I hate shaving. Ever since I had my son my pink bits aren't as taut as they used to be and now being 7 months pregnant I can't even FIND my kitty to shave it. I am all for trying something new. Most dipilatory creams say they are NOT FOR VAGINAL AND PERI-ANAL AREAS! And most burn me like an MF anyway. However, I've heard so much about this Magic stuff that I'm going to give it a try tonight. Hubby has a ton of homework this week so if I fry the kitty I won't be missing out on much anyway. I'll report on the results tonight Smiler

Well we tried the Magic and it didn't work AT ALL for me.. Frowner..Oh well on to the next thing...the one thing I did notice was that it did leave me feeling nice and soft, but as far as removing my hair to my liking it did it in little spots and others it didn't even touch and I had hubby put that stuff on nice and even and made sure every little hair was covered. Very unhappy about it, but thank goodness it wasn't that costly.

I would love to do the laser on the kitty if I knew that the hair would stay gone forever, but if it doesn't and I would still have to shave then it's not worth the 900$ or more that I would have to spend to get the whole kitty done. I just can't stand having any hair there anymore. It drives me crazy. I guess I just feel cleaner with no hair at all and...it drives hubby nuts..LOL he loves it comletely bare...

Has anyone tried Nair? I wonder if it would do a better job of getting all the hair and not leaving little patches like the Magic stuff did?

Thanks to everyone for the welcome home's that were given. He is just happy to be back on American soil and to be able to drive our new truck and to actually see grass and trees and to breath in CLEAN air...It's the little things that the majority of soldiers miss the most. I'm just thankful that all the guys in his Sniper unit made it back in one piece and NO one was hurt in anyway.

Anywho, keep the ideas coming I'm willing to try anything to see if it will work for me. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Anyone in here use something that hasn't been mentioned yet?

Thanks again guys *BIG HUGS*,
Beck

I got pretty horrific chemical burns from Nair, and it specifically says you shouldn't use it on the kitty.

I've only used Nair on my legs. It does an ok job. I would never use it on my kitty though... I used the sensitive skin version on my underarms once and got burns--like chemical burns--there. No fun at all!! I don't thinl it's kitty friendly at all.

I've had some drag queen friends swear by Veet for their man-hair bits...I might give that a try.

Moonkiss - Veet it what gave Grump and I burns, worked fine the firt few times then it would seem our skin built up a reaction/resistance to the stuff - very sore. Oh and it didn't really leave me as smooth as shaving.

Yikes! Good to know! So, I guess I'll stick with my Intuition razor...

I use a personal shaver, it keeps me smoother than a razor (no stubble at all) and I haven't had any problems w/nicks. I use it every 2 days or so, works very nicely...use some powder, shave it dry, it's fun Big Grin

Here's what I'm using: Seiko Cleancut

Looks like a pretty good product, is it easy to maneuver around down there? I usually trim but don't shave it all too often because my skin in sooo sensitive and gets razor burnt easily.
I have tried just about everything but the dry shave and now am willing to give it a go. Smiler

I just want to make sure of something. The one your using Demoana...it gives you a smooth as a baby's bottom shave and leaves you with NO hair right? I know that the majority of the time shavers don't do such a great job of getting you completely bare. So I just want to make sure that that is the results that you are getting.

I'm seriously considering the one you mention or the Body Bare. Anything to stop shaving for good or for a little while at least would be real nice Smiler

Thanks everyone for answering my questions. Have a great day!

The mere mention of Nair caused me to shiver. The thought of those chemicals on some of the most sensitive and thin skin on our bodies is scary to me.

The issue of the number of toxic chemicals we put on and in our bodies on a daily basis is very concerning to me. I've done a lot of reading on this and have come to firmly believe that the increase in the use of chemicals (in everything from cosmetics to food) is the cause of the rise in so many medical issues we see today (asthma, autism, cancer, etc.). So I really like to pay attention to what I put on/in my body. I do not believe that a product is "safe" just because it is on the market and "they" must know it is safe before putting it out there.

Sorry for the rant. I don't want to get off topic. But before you put Nair on your kitty, check out this link to the Environmental Working Group report on Nair:

Cheers!
