My poor kitty has been through so much in the last 2 of its 18 years (19 tomorrow). Ever since I started growing pubic hair at age 16 i've shaved it off, even when I knew no one but me would see it. I just likes the feel of it. I did not, however, like the horrible razor burn on my girly bits, but I put up with it until I was 17 and had started messing around with my guy. He loved the smoothness of my kitty, but every time we'd start getting busy I'd make him stop because my razor burn was itching and burning from being rubbed. So one day I decided to try Nair. Bad experience. It burned so much, and it stank. Not just a bit smelly, it absolutely reeked! After that experience, I switched to waxing, and I can truly say that there is nothing better than the perfectly smooth feeling one gets after a brazilian. The bf loves it and so do I! It's worth every penny.

My beautician who could give a good Brazilian has shut up shop (along with her brother who was my hairdresser!) so I am back to shaving whilst I try to find someone new whom I can trust, good beauticians are hard to find in this neck of the woods. I dry shave using talc. and don't get any rash just the stubble grows back too fast.

I'm still using the magic shave powder, once a week and takes 7 minutes. Not had one rash or burn.

I might have to try a shaver too. Now I'm using a razor but my hair grows so fast it starts growing back tha same day even on my legs. Also I don't seem to be getting a close shave anymore so just getting frustrated with the whole thing. I don't think I can afford laser! Also my "belly hair" (Gotta love having kids for that one) is getting darker the more I shave my nether regions! Like it's trying to compesate for nothing being down there so now I have a "line" across my front! (also why I haven't posted pics in a while). someone have a solution for me??? PLUURRRLLEEEEZZZZZZ?????

The Veet bladeless shaving kit is fab on arm and leg hair, and i imagine it would work wonders on the belly hair too. Just an idea. I'd Veet the kitty too if I could, but it's too hard to get all the nooks and crannies around the region.

Lady L. in my experience Veet on the kitty is NOT a good idea - can end up with burns and very sore skin. Both Grumpy and I have tried this with bad results.

Hey guys
Just wanted to reply to this post about my results. I tried the Magic stuff after reading this post; wanted to use it on myself before we tried it on the wife. OUCH Red Face! Does a good job removing the hair BUT Eeker! I'm pretty irritated today. I'd say be very careful, even with the sensitive skin version.

Humm, I've had no problems with the stuff. Besides the smell, which does go away, just be sure to use the stuff a couple days in advance!

well I found these board just a few days ago and I thought I would chime in as a spouse of a recient laseree.

yes we have gone the route of starwars weaponry to rid the wifey of that stubbron stubble. (we did the waxing thing every 6 wks @ ~$60a pop)
now for that laser to be effective you should have a good contrast between skine tone and hair color(more contrast the better) that way the laser lige can penetrate the skin and wipe out the hair follices. This can be one of the main reasons for the laser not working and also is taht reason for needing multi laser treatments to be completely rid of the evil stuble.

The next fun part of the laser is the price, for this I suggest that you shop around, we found a laser center that does a laser brazillian for $360 total price (5 treatments 3wks apart)

I'm glad that this thread has been resurrected as I missed it the first time around and it's on my mind at the moment! I used to just trim things up a bit, then after reading here in some other threads, I got crazy with the razor a few weeks ago and went bare below. Since then a friend had told me about the Magic Powder. I've been using it for a couple of weeks. My hair seems to grow really fast. I have to shave my legs daily in order to not have stubble and the same seems to be the case for Kitty. Even the Magic Powder is only good for 1 or 2 days, maybe 3 if I'm lucky. The last time I used it though, I got a reaction in the bikini line area -- thank God it wasn't somewhere else! Eeker So, I feel that I'm doomed to daily maintenance and I'm shopping for a shaver I think... on a very limited budget. Any more ideas out there?

I have been shaving my tender bits for almost 15 years now. For almost all that time it was done in the shower to soften up the hair.

Only in the past couple of days have I shaved out of the shower and have found that I get a smoother result.

Here is how I do it.

1. A Fresh blade every time (Mach III)
2. Have my regular shower
3. Turn water off, pat dry and shave with a moisturizing shave foam.
4. Check and touch up areas that were not gotten to perfection the first go round. (shave with the grain and then against to get the little stubbily bits)
5. Back in the shower and wash with a moisturizing soap like Dove Body wash and puff.
6. Pat dry
7. Moisturizing lotion

The down side is that I have to do it every 3-4 days to keep the smooth feel.

I still use the Magic Powder around the kitty and starfish. I don't have the patience with a razor (and impatience with a razor can be problematic). I do use the Mach 3 on my legs and armpits.

I find the best results for shaving my private parts by borrowing my wife's Venus shaver. It shaves very close, can handle curves without nicks and is comfortable to hold. It works better than any other razor I have tried.

Ahhh now here is a topic I can relate too...

I've been shaving all but a small short landing strip for at least 12 years now, and I'm getting really sick of it lol.

I'm considering waxing for my first time, but don't you have to grow your hairs quite long for waxing?

And I'd even consider laser but it seems pricey in my area and I shave my whole lower region and couldn't imagine that laser near my tender booty spot...

I do use Veet quite regularly lately, I shave three or four times with the razor and then with the stuff, it keeps my skin smoother that way. I use a "Veet for men" version actually (who knows, may be with diligent application it will finally grow me my own cock!?!). I don't have problems with it as long as I am careful to:
1) Don't leave it on one single minute longer than it should.
2) Don't get any of the stuff on the tender bits in the middle. I often lay a strip of wet toilet paper over my clit and inner lips so that nothing gets smeared there by mistake.

I take stuff and hairs away with a rough shower glove while showering.
I guess it really depends by the skin but I DO have delicate skin.
Talking of Venus razor, that's the one I use, and Tyrion too borrows it from me, the scoundrel. I will buy one for him, a pink one, so he learns.
