Canadians have Thanksgiving??

You mean you guys celebrate the day you landed on another peoples' soil and committed mass genocide? At least that's how it works in the States.

I just love green bean casserole.

The turkey's still in the oven, but I hope it will be good. Last year I soaked it in peppercorn and honey brine for 24 hours, stuffed it with some crap that took me two hours to make, and fawned over it its four hours in the oven, adjusting and basting etc. It turned out pretty good. This year I pulled it out of the bag, stuck a sliced apple in the cavity and stuck it in the oven. I don't intend to look at it again for another 3 hours because I'm too damned busy. I bet it'll be just as good, but I'll let you know.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians,

dp
