I looked out the window this morning as I was weighing myself (I prefer not to be shocked at the doctor's office lately) and saw a white haze lingering in the air. So I put on my glasses.
It's snowing outside! How cool is that? We never get snow here - last winter the ONE TIME it snowed Ranger and I were in Vegas and didn't get to play in it with Bug. I doubt it'll stick today but I'm still excited - I think we'll catch snowflakes on our tongues on the way to the bus stop.
Ahhh... snow... I love precipitation in just about any form, but snow is extra cool. I was born in a blizzard - maybe that has something to do with it.

I LOVE snow.. just adore it. It gets really cold here too. mmm cold. I'm surprised we dont havesteady snowfalls yet... But it is supposed to snow today, and probably by next week we will have snow from then till about the end of april... yay!! snow makes me a better driver. We get snow here that can be taller then me, yet only ONCE in my life did we have a snowday.. probably because Winterpeg is prepared for snow (i.e. we have a LOT of snow plows). mmm cozy days by the window.. here I come!
Oh and this means my favorite sport comes around.. Carbogganing!! (Off roading with a tobaggan attached ... CRAZY speeds!)

Now I'm kinda bummed we don't have snow here yet. We often get it around Halloween.
I still have green grass, dammit.

Well, Mike, we still have green grass too... but we lucked out with the snow this time around. Looks like we're slated to have disgustingly clear skies for the next week or so again though... oh well. Just means I'll be squinting a lot waiting for the school bus in the mornings.

We got snow on the 6th (as predicted by me-now all my friends are freaked out) It came down really heavy but was gone by noon. It's -5'C out there right now at 7am. It's almost too cold to snow now. Well rena I guess its time for us to start thinking about working on the winter home (the igloo!) Heehee. Dp So long as it's not freezing rain be thankful, must be nice and green out there
It's been unusually warm here with lots of sun. A few chill mornings, where you can see your breath, but not many. Last year this time I was freezing my ass off! I'm happy so far. Things are still green grassed but with gorgeous coloured trees. This picture is in the park across the street from my apartment. I took the shot with my phone on my way to work.

Thought I was going to freeze this morning at the bus stop... I need to start bringing a towel to sit on or something or I will be leaving chunks of my pants and butt behind!
Still, I'm glad it's getting colder and I have excuses to hide underneath five blankets and drink cocoa.

You're right, Tigz. Everything goes to hell in a handcart around here when the rain turns to snow or ice. Still, I do miss those cold, snowy days sometimes. It does stay nice and green out here all winter, but one gets a bit tired of "two degrees and raining". Especially the cyclists among us.
Good luck with the igloos ladies.

Today we have an anti~cyclonic air pressure system sitting over us, with the classic clear skies and settled conditions.
South westerly wind does appear to be getting up and through the darkness I can make out increased cloud cover, suggesting the onset of yet another depression!!!

Well, it's cold here, but not as cold as you guys get. In the mornings it's usually around 35 F, but we rarely ever get snow. Maybe once, twice a year, and gone within a day or two. Plus, it's warmer than usual this year (our grass is still green too ), so I doubt we'll see anything that sticks. Not that I mind....Flagstaff isn't too far away, we can always go there to do the toboganning thing if we want, then come back to clear streets and easy driving. Yeah. I keep telling myself that, hehe.

Still no snow here and it was actually 16'C here yesterday (60'F) which is kinda weird for November. Usually were hovering around freezing but I guess you gotta love our chinooks that blow in! Enjoy your snow rena down there in winterpeg!
We're moving towards summer - last week we had a few beach days at around 30'C but back down to around 23'C today with some evening showers. All the trees have their leaves on, very fresh and lush and green. Purple agapanthus are flowering and our jacaranda trees is about to bloom which always makes me feel like summer is nearly here.
