A toast to life!

Me and my guy just L*O*V*E these sheets:

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=102743

They are made from a fabric called Modal, which is made from the cellulose of beech trees. They are incredibly scrumptious and insanely soft. As if it weren't hard enough to drag myself out of bed with my guy, these darn sheets make me want to stay in bed forever!

Anyone else have killer sheets?

Some of our fave sheets are very basic 100% cotton ones from Target - good thread count, soft smooth surface and they feel good on bare skin. Smiler Is there anything nicer than fresh sheets that smell like the sun?

Oh man, there's NOTHING Eddy likes better than diving into a freshly made bed of clean bedding! We have two cats who sleep on us every night and so they get covered with fur quite quickly (and she's allergic to boot), so that couple times a week she gets nice soft laundered sheets is a luxury she just loves.

We just got some that are similar to those ones Michie mentioned, but thicker and more luxurious.

Oh, and TARGET in Australia? Wow, Rain, you guys have everything!

I'd really like to get the ones from liberator, they look very very soft, sexy, beautiful colors...I'd go for the blue/blue, isn't it pretty? Although with the price tag on them, it'll be a while. So I'm interested in where freddy got his, too Wink

The Liberator sheets look heavenly, but do they sell only the shams and duvet covers, or do they sell the sheets as well?

I bought a set of 800 thread count sheets from Overstock.com. By far, the best sheets I have ever slept in, and they just get more luxurious every time I wash them. And, they were alot cheaper than what I found at Bed, Bath and Beyond!

You mean you have running water down there, too? Oh yeah, we understand it runs in the opposite direction and everything (Bart Simpson proved it!).

The sheets we have came from a place called Tuesday Morning, which is like Overstock.com, but an actual store. Eddy loves the place and you never know what they'll have, which makes it exciting for her to visit...

I run between satin, flannel, t-shirt material and high thread count cotton. I change them out depending on the weather and the temperature. Right now it is chilly so flannel it is... I am all nestled up right now in them, typing on my puter...

Chilly? In Venice?! Damn, that's a good one Bonk. It was 1 below here this morning.

We keep the flannel sheet set just for use on the massage table. We do keep a sheet, velour blanket, and heavyweight comforter on the bed for comfortable winter sleeping though. I think we might indulge in some more decent sheet sets for our bed since we only have two that we rotate between. I think our possibilities room, err.., I mean guest room, will be getting some nice sheets as well Wink

Yes I am thinking of many possibilities...

...and yes it is not midwest chill but then again we do have that ocean breeze to keep our windows closed.

Back in the day I used to pain myself walking a mile in snow to school up in friggin' Massachussetts wah wah wah, but I moved away from that fucking cold for a reason... 6 month winters... what a pain in th eass that weather is... It is always fun for the first two months and then it gets downright fucking depressing.

I used to call home to my parents when I went off to college in North Carolina. I was sunning and playing volleyball by the dorms in January February and my Mother was just shaking her head looking outside at six feet of snowdrifts...
My parents now live in San Francisco and much happier...

how would someone describe satin sheets? Are they hot? I like how they feel to the initial touch but do they stay like that?

Satin feels nice.. but the sheets and pillow covers always end up sliding off the bed.. we have black satin sheets and the liberator duvet (which is nice and warm)

We won't use anything under 400 thread count, it makes a HUGE difference in feel. And I'm with Eddy on this one, I love the feel and smell of fresh sheets, particuarly ones that have been dried outside...ahhhhhhh... Smiler

One tip that I figured out, is that if one or both of you are "sheet stealers" (I am the stealer of the two of us, lol) it's best to get one size up. We have a queen bed and get king sheets. If you get the top and bottom separately, get a larger top sheet and a normal sized bottom sheet. It works SO much better! Smiler
