So its time to start setting the stage for your new years resolution.

If you post it here you have a whole group of people to keep you honest.

OK, here goes:

1. Lose weight (not hard, but getting tired of not preventing the gain through better habits all year).
2. Hence, from my first resolution comes my second, EAT BETTER throughout the year.
3. Control my temper at work. Alicia drives me nuts at work, but I certainly need to improve how I deal with it.
4. Visit the doctor at least once and get a physical. Haven't had one in almost 10 years!
5. Call at least 5 friends I haven't spoken to in the last 10 years.
6. Build an art car for kids and take it to Burning Man. Thankfully, Buckshot has agreed to help me on this one.
7. DJ at least one club gig.
8. Write another book.
9. Try ecstasy. Most likely at Burning Man, as it's a safe environment to do so.
10. Make love in a public place.

1. Loose 13 more pounds.
2. Exercise more regularly, especially in the winter.
3. Stay away from the Christmas cookies.
4. Make love during the school year as much or more than we do in the summer.

Ajay, seriously that is a smart move. I had a kidney stone go horribly wrong and it almost killed me, the problem was they couldn't figure out the source of the massive infection that was darn near making my blood septic. They thought it might be diverticulitis and ran a scope on me, found 2 precancerous polyps. Never would have done it otherwise and it saved my life.

With a good anestesiologist you won't even remember the fact that it was done.

I had two and both of them I was in the pre-op talking to the anestesiologist and suddenly he wasn't there anymore. I asked my wife, "Hey where did he go? He just disapeared." and she replied, "You're done already."

An unexamined life is not worth living.

Socrates

I think that New Years Eve is probably the most important holiday of the year. It takes a courageous person to really open up their life and look at who they want to be and who they are.

Most see it as an excuse to get falling down drunk but I see it as a time for self examination and renewal.

So I'm sitting down to do just that.

I have been in pain for the last 20 years. Its really time to do something about it. I started a flexibility program last year and eliminated the majority of my leg pain. My goal was to be able to walk across campus. Not only did I achive that goal but I put my cane away last spring and I haven't used it since the mid point in my program. Yeah, I was getting sick and tired of people telling me how much like "House", I looked. So this year I'm taking on my back problems next with the goal of doubling my flexibility and reducing if not right eliminating my back pain.

That means physical therapy and a hell of a lot of exercise.

1. Increasing Flexibility.
2. Muscle Tone.
3. Dropping 10 pounds.
The end goal being able to participate in a martial arts class by the end of the year.
4. Eating Better.
5. Sleeping Better.
6. Doing better in school.
7. Eliminating Debt by at least 15%.
8. Being more political.
9. Managing my time better.
10. learn more about US history and the founding fathers.

So here are my steps/plan not to fail:
1. I got the insurance company to pony up for some PT instead of just passive chiropractic therapy.

2. I have cleared up the basement and picked up a weight bench. I plan to start outwith a 10 minute work out every morning with my current stretching routine. I pulled a cable outlet so I can watch the moring news while on the bike and the bench. Should make it easier to keep on the bike in the morning.

3. Made a resolution to reduce my consumption of soda to one soda a day. This is gonna be hard. I have some flavored teas to take the place. I'm hoping to make the switch starting durring the new year.

4. One soda a day. The only snack I will eat after 7 pm is fruit.

5. No caffiene after 6 pm. Regulate my waking and sleeping schedule apart form my daily activities. Fixed times for bed and waking.

6. This is al about time management and looking at my long term goals.

7. It's time to cut up the credit cards. If I can't pay cash, I won't buy it.

8. Defending freedom from both sides of the aisle needs to be done. Its time to hold the feet to the fire no matter what side of the aisle you're on.

9. Will power.

10. Went and renewed my library card.

I managed to keep my goal of 2006 which was to weigh less at the end of 07 than I did at the beginning. I lost about 15 pounds +/-. I still need to do more work on toning up, but at least I don't have as much fat to lose. For 2008 I'm focusing on some larger scale projects:

1) Finish up my project car and enjoy it. (It's been sitting broken for 2 years and I now have a mandate from Topless to get it ready for this spring).
2) Finish up our current basement remodel.
3) Start and finish either adding a bathroom to our house or remodeling the kitchen. I'd say do both, but I'm not sure if that's in the cards.
4) Put a lot more time and effort into making our lingerie store better and at least have it start to break even on a monthly basis.
5) Do a better job of time management between my "self" hobbies and spending time with my wife and daughter.
6) Complete at least a double century ride (200 miles in one ride) on my bike. I also want to try some type of bike racing just for fun.

Wow, that list was a bit longer than I anticipated. At least I think all of them are pretty attainable goals.

my goal is to have sex on the golf course that's only 1/2 mile from our house!

my second goal is to have sex in the rain.

Now, I could knock out both of these at the same time, but where's the fun in that?!

Hmmm ... I don't know HM... Now please understand that I don't play golf but all I hear is that the ultimate, the top, the best thing one can do in golf is get what I am only guessing is that which sure sounds like that which you have described... the proverbial hole-in-one.... maybe there is something to it. After all, Tiger Woods sure seems to make a lot of money and get people excited when he does it. So hire camera crew out and get out there and you may be famous too! Then again, I don't really follow golf so maybe, just maybe there is a bit more to it.
