My wife and I started shaving about 5 years ago and have kept it that way (totally smooth)ever since. Last fall we were in St Martin at Orient Beach and were pleased to see at least half of the people smooth. It has gotten to the point where even with porn I want to see just shaved girls and guys. I also started wearing a cock ring and find the look really hot being shaved. I agree with Freddy that it makes me feel sexy along with my wife liking it. What are others feelings on the whole shaved look? I can't imagine ever going back.

I definitely agree that smoother is better. While some of the online articles I've read on the subject say it's mostly about sex, I disagree - it just feels better in general. Daily maintenance is the only possible drawback I can think of.

I do it from time to time, we mostly like the feel of being shaved together.

The hot wife started shaving years ago. We will be married 9 years in Aug. and she started while we were dating. She loves being shaved so much, I can't even beg her to grow a landing strip. I started shaving the nutsack and around the bottom of the shaft a good while ago as well. I use an Oster beard trimmer on the shortest setting and trim the hair between the shaft and the belly button very short. I also wear cock rings as well. I bought them pretty much without asking her or telling her about them. I have three and she always asks why I don't have one on if she catches me without one on. We discuss this pretty often. Sex is SOOOOO much better shaved. I used to experience pain if she was on top during sex before I began shaving. The hair around the shaft would get pulled everytime on her downstroke. Another plus is not having to stop in the middle of the fun to pick hair out of your teeth. Can't see either of us every going back to the jungle. HaHa!!

Great feedback! I am glad to hear we are in good company. We started when I asked my wife to shave and she said "I will if you do" I quickly did because I had always wanted to try it anyway. Sex is way cooler smooth. We both shave with gillette mach 3 shavers a couple times a week. Does anybody have any feedback on the electric pubic shavers out there? Has anybody else done the nude thing at a beach seen others shaved anywhere?

I have been mostly shaved for over 10 years. I only have kept a well trimmed patch above my penis. (see how to thread on cock rings)
Only in the past two weeks have I gone completly smooth as has my beautiful bride. I love the feel and can't see going back any time soon.

Mon, there are plenty of votes on this site for the Body Bare personal shaver. I still use regular razors, but I've been thinking about making this investment. Personally, I just shave my lips and do a little shaping on the top, which I trim with scissors. The New Guy wants me to shave everything, but I don't like the look on me. If he wants it done, he'll have to do it himself

I really think we may buy one of those, I would love to just shave daily. I really love this board because everyone is so open about discussing these topics. I always wonder which ones of our friends shave but it is not a subject you just bring up at a party. I have had a couple of women I work with mention they got a wax and guy friend who has mentioned he shaves. Anyone else out there have relationships with friends where they can ask or have seen them?

Being a nurse I do get to see a good cross section of "hair styles" and have to say that the majority of people do some sort of southern styling. In the past several years more and more are going bald or atleast a good trim.
The majority of full bush on both male and female is in the over 50 crowd.

From these non-scientific observations I have to conclude that the shavers are in the majority not the minority.

Very interesting, that is a great perspective NN. When we were at Orient beach back in Nov I would have to say about 60% were smooth both men and women. NN, what would you say the % is you see?

Hmmmmm,

Female about 20% bald, 70% trimmed
Male is a bit less the bald look but most are trimmed

The only time this changes is when you get the over 50 then the clipping and primping seems to go to the way side. That is unless you run in the same circles as our Glamerous Gran and Grump.

I appreciate a nice clean look. I remember having a spirited discussion to shave/trim or not to shave/trim. My point / counter point friend pointed out that pubic hair was there for a reason. I countered that maybe true if you were a cave woman wearing a loin cloth and sleeping on a dirt floored cave.

I keep a second razor in the shower. One of those Fusion 5 blade razors. A touch up a day keeps the hairy beast away. Its so easy and quick. During my snip snip the nurse complemented me on my super clean look.

My wife just got her first experience on the pro’s of the clean shaven look. She and her legal staff took one of the partners to a classy strip club for his birthday. One of the dancers had my wife turn and lean back and place her head on to the stage. The dancer placed her freshly shaved and powdered bottom on her ah …..head. She commented to me “Now I know why you like the clean look.

Well, I just turned 51 Y.O. 3 weeks ago, and I didn't start shaving until after I turned 50. Now on the other hand, my wife who is 12 years my junior, just trims because she gets ingrown hairs VERY easily. I like completely shaved better, but trimmed is a great compromise!
BTW, I now use a Mach 3 Turbo (one of those vibrating razors) in the shower with just soap, and I works just fine!
