So whatever happened to the old Chinese Fortune cookies telling you that something wonderful was going to happen to you.

We just came back from a Chinese restaurant and my fortune said, "42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot." While I'll admit it is cute, what kind of fortune is that?

Vorbis, on the other hand, had a more promising fortune. His read, "You are in the vicinity of a good time. Get the shy to join in." A menage a trois?

I got one that said, "Your secret admirer will soon reveal himself"...didn't know until then that they made them gender-specific.

I'e had fortune cookies that stated weird things before, but not actual statistics. I figure that they leave that up to the business dept. I have however found fortunes that state generic statements 'Love is in the air, breathe it in' and 'you are a giver of good things'. Those type of remarks.

On another note with regards to Chinese Fortune cookies- I never will again actually eat the cookie if it is not packaged. Now, it could not be that truthful but I was told my a teacher that there can be dangerous bacteria growing on them. I'm a worry wort so I dont eat them anymore. Still enjoy the fortune though.

We always play the "In bed" game with them. Pretty simple. Add "In bed" to the end of whatever the fortune says.

Now, when we go out to Panda, with a total of six fortunes to giggle at, sometimes the kids have to wonder what's so damn funny. It is one of those things we will take great joy in later in life when we let them in on the joke.
