Just a couple of things to add:

-Great comedy: "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang" with Val Kilmer and Robert Downy Jr. I'm a huge comedy fan and this one didn't get much screen time but it should have. The writing is great and the characters are phenominal. I have yet to meet someone who didn't enjoy this movie. I always love popping in "Tin Cup" also.

-Pirates 3: I agree. Great film. Kind of leaves you hanging as they are talking about a fourth. Depp is great and I think it actually is the funniest of the three. There's a short clip after the 5 mintues of credits that's kind of neat. This is true of the previous two as well. If you have them on DVD, check them out.

-Spidey 3: I was pleased as well. CGI was UNREAL. Wish they did more with Venom though.

-Next movies on my "MUST SEE" list include: "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Transformers!!!!" Who else is pumped to see Transformers? It looks awesome. I may bust out my old ones in anticipation. Assuming they don't come to life and try to kill me. Well...actually that would be pretty sweet.

B is more excited than I am about Transformers, but I think it will be a good one to go see. We're also excited about Live Free or Die Hard, Knocked Up, Ocean's 13, Evan Almighty, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (yes, we are adults and love the books too Razzer), The Bourne Ultimatum, Rush Hour 3, and possibly We Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and the Simpson's Movie. Damn, there goes all of our disposable income Smiler

I loved the mid century modern decor that was splashed through out that movie.. made the parody film noir angle gel pretty well, plus I got to see lots of furniture and design I get a woody over.

OK, as much as I hate to agree with Ranger, Transformers ROCKED!!! Kick ass from beginning to end. We're heading out to get the Transformers game for our Wii system right now so we can continue the rockin' times. Alicia also loved it.

Bad IDA, Dirt, I second the recommendation for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, a great off-kilter comedy that didn't get enough buzz. Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer, and Michelle Monaghan were all wonderful. The opening scene where Robert Downey Jr is chased by the police into a film audition where he acts the part he's living at the moment (with a bullet in him) is genius. It's refreshing to see Val Kilmer in a comedic role playing a macho gay detective.

The above message will self-destruct in 5, 4, 3...

Harry Potter this weekend! Anyone else planning to see the last installment?

Three good friends have RAVED about Waitress. I'm thinking catch it on DVD, but maybe it's time to support an indie flick. Sicko is on the schedule for next week.

It's been out for a while but Smokin' Aces is a bad ass flick. Ryan Reynolds best role and Alicia Keys as a contract killer... wow. Rent it... good flick.

Oh GOD yes I'm going to Harry Potter. I'm also going to be at Borders as soon as the kids go to bed on the evening of the 20th to get my preordered copy of the final book. It'll be read by the time I go to bed on the 21st, mark my words. I might not go to bed until horribly late, but I WILL read the whole damn thing.

We're probably going to wait to see Harry until next week when we go back to CT (yes, again) for my sister-in-law's wedding. My parents will want to see it, that's for sure, so we'll go see it with them. As for the book, my mother pre-ordered it, and so did we, but as we won't be anywhere near our copy, it's going to be every person for themselves at their house. Wink It may get bloody with three people wanting to read it and one book...I should sharpen my katana and throwing knives...I guess we'll have to wait until we get back to fight over our copy, as we won't get more than a couple of chapters read we'll be so busy.

Ok, we just returned from "The Simpsons" movie. RUN to see it. Probably the funniest movie to come out in the last 5 years. Awesome!

We also saw "The Simpsons" yesterday, as B is a fan of the series, and I think it's funny too. We both thought the movie was great. Sometimes movies made of TV shows don't come out very well, but this one was worth it!

We saw "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" earler today and were floored. Totally amazing and we can't believe they manage to continually keep this series so fresh and exciting. The battle scene at the end kicked serious ass.

I also think "The Simpsons Movie" will probably get a second viewing soon.

Just rented "Surf's Up" and LOVED it. I guess you'd have to be into surfing to really get it, but I highly recommend it for any age.

Still haven't seen ANY of the Bourne movies. The first two are always out of stock at the local vid store.
