was interesting. i saw zohan in a theatre in rural northern california. and it got its amount of chuckles from the audience.

but there is so much jewish humor about israel and just being jewish, that it seemed to be lost on the crowd.

but i found it quite funny.

cheers
N.

Anyone going to see "The Happening" by M Night Shamalan? In our book, he's had a few good hits (Sixth Sense, Signs, and somewhat Unbreakable) and (in our opinion anyway) the not so good The Village. What you you think?

After that mess "Lady in the Water," I doubt I'll waste my 10 bucks on his latest. The reviews have been brutal so far. Anyone see Zohan yet?

Can't wait for "Wall-e!"

Yeah, I just read a few reviews on "The Happening", and it won't be "happening" for us. Hulk instead! (We also are looking forward to Wall-E!)

The colors and sound effects alone in the trailer for wall-e made me revert to four years old. We will be there opening weekend.

Saw "The Incredible Hulk". It was good, but not quite as good as the fabulous "Iron Man", which is a must-see. Still, millions of times better than the crappy Ang Lee version (at least according to B, I never saw it).

Ok, I went and saw Zohan....thinking hmm why? Thats right I was craving movie popcorn and m&m's. It was Adam Sandler, He has mastered the art of mixing Crude and Charming. He has gotten better looking with age,(havnt we all) but, Most of his humor will be missed. If you are truley an Adam Sandler Fan, Go see it If not Wait for the Video The young ladies sittig next to me in between text messaging couldnt stop laughing..There were some very funny subtle lines, I did laugh out loud, the girls next to me totally missed those. on the whole.hmmm a night on the couch watching a dvd. <Plink Plink> thats my two cents.

Not to give anything away, for those that have seen this movie, does it belong in the un/shaved men forum?

The only thing I've ever liked Adam Sandler in was "Punch Drunk Love," which was a quirky independent flick done over 10 years ago. It had Philip Seymour Hoffman in it and was really entertaining.

We're about to pop in "The Golden Compass" DVD. We watched "National Treasure 2," which I thought sucked ass last night.

Looks like "Get Smart" is the movie of choice for this weekend.

Just watched it on On Demand. Both B and I liked it, and it sets up for a sequal. Also watched Cloverfield yesterday, which was a good take on a monster movie. Only problem was that I felt a bit nauseated from the handheld camera movement, but otherwise very good.

I caught cloverfield in california when out there.

prefer a person in a big rubber suit. little model planes blowing up. scale buildings crumbling. i thought cloverfield was like one scene after another of screaming and hysteria. kind of like watching fox news talk about the left.

hehe

We did "Spiderwick Chronicles" on DVD tonight and liked it plenty. It's all about "Wall-E" this weekend!
