We just saw "Wall-e." We are totally blown away. How Pixar keeps upping the bar each and every time is simply unfathomable. It had heart, tackles huge issues with humor and sensitivity, and is wonderfully bereft of dialog. A winner in every sense.

I saw Hancock.

After I saw it, someone asked me what the "twist" was that was upsetting everyone.

I scratched my head and said, "the only thing I can think of is that I went to the movie thinking I would like it and as it turns out, it kind of sucked. So maybe that's the twist. Because that did upset me."

We saw "Wanted" and "Wall-e" a couple of weeks ago. "Wanted" was NOT as good as people were saying, in fact, B and I both were sorely disappointed. We both love action movies and the previews looked great, but we were let down. It was actually kind of stupid. "Wall-e" on the other hand, was fantastic! Great story and a great message about our current consumer consumption and habits that wasn't preachy. Very cute love story too.

This weekend we saw "Hancock". It wasn't as bad as "Wanted" but wasn't as good as we had expected it to be. Thankfully we were prepared for a not-so-great movie from some scathing reviews we'd read. Overall, the movie was okay, and we weren't bothered by the twist although it did kind of change the direction of the movie which, up until that point, had been pretty decent.

Looking forward to: The Dark Knight, Pineapple Express, Mirrors, Tropic Thunder

We just rented and watched "Juno" and "The Darjeeling Limited," both of which were wonderful. That girl in Juno is an amazing actress, by the way.

We'll be going for "The Savages" this weekend, which is about a family dealing with a parent in dementia.

We haven't been to the movies lately, but we've recently seen 3 DVD's. No Reservations was downright boring. P.S. I Love You was just O.K., but I think I've seen the same story before. You, Me and Dupree was cute and funny and worth watching more than once. I seem to like every movie, I've seen with Kate Hudson in it. Has anyone seen Fool's Gold ? Any reviews on that?

I am the furthest thing from a techno-nerd; I've even forgotten how to turn on the regular computer since I've been using a laptop for several years, but I am married to a techno-nerd and have learned how to google things quite well. Ajay, Is this what you're looking for?

Cool glasses - I want some!

Tomorrow we'll be checking out "Hit Man," then back to the classics for another look at "Ghandi," starring Ben Kingsley. Our son will be back by then and we'll be back to the kiddie fare. Sigh.

I'm salivating at Dark Knight. I almost wet myself when a trailer pops on tv. I know, I need help.

Love, love, LOVED "Hellboy II!" We didn't see the first one, but thought we'd kill a Sunday morning since our son wanted to see it. Wow, a great surprise to us how much we liked it. Now we can't wait to rent the first one.

Okay, I'm throwing this one out there.

I rented Rambo on DVD the other night.

Yep, complete with Sly Stallone at, what, 65 yrs old.

I completely dismissed it when it went to theaters. I mean, First Blood was good...in the 80s.

But it was actually really good. Definitely worth the rent.

Ummmm, saw The Dark Knight today......

Go see the movie. Just go. There's really nothing else to say, except just go.

And Heath Ledger will win an Oscar- He makes Jack Nicholson's Joker look like a Teletubby.
