Greetings,
As a recording engineer and enthusiast, I was early to check out DVD-A and Sony's SACD multi-channel audio formats. While several titles are extremely impressive, it wasn't until the release of Roxy Music's Avalon that my wife and I realised the full potential of the format. Slap some soft pillows and blankies on the floor, light some candles and yikes - It's a classic "make-out" album anyway, but in SACD in the center of a 5.1 system it is positively transporting... Now I want 5.1 in the bedroom and by golly I'm gonna make it happen, I don't care how ugly it is!  Can't wait till some Vangelis is mixed in 5.1... Best wishes! |

If you like DVD-A, check out Dual Disc--CD one side, DVD 5.1 on the other + video content. I no longer have to buy the CD for the car and DVD-A for home. No Vangelis yet.
