I just took my little guy to see it and we loved it! I was surprised after the last two pieces of crap, but this one really put it all together nicely. Good job. It dragged slightly in the middle, but the first 30 minutes and the last hour really kick but, action-wise.
I have to admit, I was dubious Lucas could pull off convincing me that Anakin would go for the dark side; however, the villian does such a convincing job and the reason Anakin goes for it made sense (who wouldn't do anything to save the life of their loved one?). By the end, my mind had actually put all six parts together and I think we're going to watch the Trilogy on DVD this weekend (Empire Strikes Back is still my favorite, though).
I still remember standing in line on opening day in 1977 when the first one was released and being so blown away that to this day NO movie has equalled that experience.
Wow -- you can still remember 1977? It's a bit of a blur for me
Seriously though, we went yesterday afternoon to see it. I liked it, but I thought the first fight scene dragged out a bit much as well as the ending part dragged out. But, overall, I was pleased with the result by Lucas.

I got the soundtrack through work and there's a pretty cool DVD that comes with it. It explores the music of the movies and shows the parallels they all share.
A nice freebie!

I feel the same way, the last two were so dissapointing that I expected nothing, but this was my fav since Empire. I applaud Lucas, after I had lost all hope.

By far the best of the new trilogy. I just about juiced in my shorts when I heard Vader take his first breath. Gave me some serious chills. I will own it... oh yes I will. I actually got to see the birth of my most favorite movie villian of all time. I left the theater very content.
Long story short... don't take a toddler to see a cool movie that you won't get the chance to see on the big screen again. I told Ang there was no way in hell I was gonna take the Bug out to the lobby if he acted up. So she did.
We went on Wednesday night, I actually thought it was great, I have to confess to not being a big Star Wars fan, so it was not expecing too much! The opening scene was awesome!
