Big thumbs-up for this book...its a fun romp through love and sexuality by examining foods and their purportedly aphrodisical effects. Mind you, this is done with tongue planted firmly in-cheek as the author tries-out the different foods on herself and friends. The prose is quite playful and the book is filled with recipes (all of which were tried by the author with the help of her super-cook mom).

The writing is intelligent and Allende shows herself to be magnificently open-minded when it comes to sexuality. Neat stuff!

There are three possible parts to a date, of which at least two must be offered: entertainment, food, and affection.
