I was searching the internet for a deer recipe similar to what I cook in a slow cooker that had rotel in it. I found it on backwoodsbound.com
The also have recipes for alligator, armadillo,
snake, turtle and Beaver. They ask for you to post your favorite recipe. I have a favorite beaver recipe and I thought it would be best to post it here than there. Certainly here, a more appreciative and intelligent group.
I don't know if all of you know alot about beavers, but they are naturally hairy. Some like to eat beaver with hair and some don't.
The most important thing about beaver is to make sure it is clean, moist, and pink. It is sorta like eating sushi, you eat it raw. Beaver is a delicacy and needs to be handled with care. If you are hesitate about your beaver being clean, gently wash it and pat it dry. I eat most of my meals in the kitchen and i could eat beaver in the kitchen on a granite topped island, but i actually prefer to eat beaver in bed. I did not mention seasoning because there is none needed. The meat is so tender all you have to do is lick it with your tongue, sorta like eating ice cream on a hot day, except better. The only word of warning is to know where your beaver came from. You could get hold of some bad beaver and get sick. Otherwise, it is the most delicious meat I have ever eaten. Try it, you will like, Mikey does.
