OK since we now have a resident former bartender I thought I'd call you all out for your favorite drink recipes.

Here's one of ours:
Chocolate covered strawberry: two scoops vanilla ice cream, 1 shot Godiva chocolate liquer, 1 shot Amaretto (preferably high quality like Dissarono), 1/2 cup frozen strawberries. Blend well and top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. You can also blend some chocolate syrup in with the main mix too. Awesome dessert drink!

CF, what was the green drink you were talking about in the other thread? I was introduced to one this weekend at the Nascar races that the people were calling tree frog. Had a whole slew of ingredients and looked to be potent but tasty. It was a distinctive green in color.

The green drink is the recipe above.
Damn, and it's good despite the strange looking combination.

I'd love to see what this tree frog is. Wonder if you could make a red eyed tree frog with a drop of grenadine.

Ang, you are so lucky. Conversations with my hubby are more like, "Honey, can you get me a beer?"

Both drink recipes sound great. I'm going to print them out and give them a try this weekend.

I tend to stick with red wine these days. Maybe a margarita with Mexican food. Does everyone remember Purple Passion from their younger days...I hope.

Mmm purple passion. Good way to spend the next day hung over. My dad used to tell me about drinking Ripple, Annie Green Springs, and Boone's Farm. Speaking of bad booze, how about MD 20/20!!! Tried some of that in the strawberry banana flavor once, it was so bad we fed it to the dog.

Night Train! Don't forget about the T-Bird and Night Train! I'm a former 'tender myself. I'll think up a couple of my faves and post 'em asap.

I've heard of T-brid but never night train. Doubt that I'm really missing much though.

Back in the Army days, our whole Battalion was deployed TDY down to San Diego to play with the Marine Recon and SEALs in the area... Not exactly our idea of fun, the whole branch rivalry and all, but it did give us one hell of a drink..

SEALs called it the Navy SEAL, Marine Recon guys called it the Gunny, Us Ranger types called it The Colonel Darby..

1 oz. Jagermeister
1 oz. Goldshlager
Fill with Red Bull (or any other energy drink)

the gold flakes mixed with the Jager looked cool as hell.

Man that sounds like a helluva ass kicker. We usually mix red bull and Skyy blue or the like. It really sneaks up on you with the red bull.

Oh god... Night Train. The night I got into a chugging contest with that stuff (the one time my parents were out of town on a weekend without me!) I lost my house. It was three feet away.

Man, but it good fun.

Oh God there are some spirits that I can't even whiff without wanting to be violently ill as a result of youthful overindulgence...your body remembers abuse! Mostly nowadays I like to drink red wine but that said, I'm pretty fond of a cocktail or two or three.

Japanese Slipper < !--color-->
1/3 Midori, 1/3 Cointreau, 1/3 Lime juice Mix and drink.

Cosmopolitan < !--color-->
1 1/2 parts vodka, 1 part Cointreau, I part cranberry juice, dash of lime. Shake with ice,pour and enjoy.

Hey Rain, while we were vacationing in Sydney and Cairns I noticed Midori is much more popular over there than here. I had one drink mixed with midori, kiwi, and I think lemon lime. Talk about awesome.

You guys just have a better selection of drinks over there. We don't have the cocktails in a bottle you can buy there, not to mention the mainstream beers have a better flavor. I just wish we could get VB up here.
