OK, I'm asking for anyone out there who read this to click on this link and sign a petition to save my favorite cartoon. Called "Samurai Jack," it's about a warrior trying to travel back in time to defeat an evil presence named Aku and is truly one of the most fantastic animated series ever produced. So please, take two seconds to do it and help keep it on the air!

No, you are part of a select group who realize that cartoon as being one of the finest ever televised. There was even a press release way back about a live action version going into production! I was bummed when the animated series was suddenly halted - something about a disagreement between the show's creator and the network - as there was never a resolution to the Aku dilemma. Though the show had incredible action sequences, its best moments were those of quiet reflection and wisdom, where Jack would contemplate a problem and seek a solution outside of violence FIRST. In fact, in one such episode where he fought against himself (to a draw), it was lowering his sword and allowing his alter-ego a clean shot that ended and won the battle.

Can't wait until tomorrow to pick up season three!

So Freddy did you ever check out the Jack statues?

I had the pleasure of meeting Aku in person, his voice is done by an actor named Mako. He sounds EXACTLY like Aku, that is he normal speaking voice.

Mako has been a great character actor for years. IIRC he was in both Conan movie and tons of other features.

I just found out that Mako who played Aku passed away back in July.

Both me and my wife were big fans and got to meet him last year at a comic con.

His last work was on a show called Avatar: The Last Air Bender, as Uncle Zucho and was just amazing.

I count it as one of the best cartoons ever made and I am a complete cartoon freak.
