I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be a good choice, in the newer more popular collections of music, for my man and I to make love to. Every time I try to take him to the music store he won't help me pick anything out and just tells me that it is up to me, but I have no idea what to get. I want something familliar yet sexy with a good beat and meaningful words. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

You mean, as in music you want to follow the beat, like Bolero? LOL

You can't go wrong with any of the Cafe Del Mar collections and the new release by Magnet is GREAT for setting a sexy mood. All of the music from Nightmares on Wax is perfect and Massive Attack can be a great aphrodisiac in our house. Mushroom Jazz series kills, too. I'll think of some more soon...

Hi there is a thread that was started a while back that explains a bunch of music specifically for this. Check this at the next page or go here.

I will have to write that one. Good idea, but usually when I am fucking any music can be on and I am happy.

Lets Start compiling a list... Bolero does work well. On that level Banco De Gaia (they have a ten year greatest hits cd that is great to have sex too), The Gladiator Soundtrack works well for me too.

"Let it Rock," by Def Leppard. Hard driving rock in roll that's great to slam your partner with! Anything by Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, or Jimi Hendrix kills, too. I have great mix by John Dignweed that's great to slap Eddy's ass to!

Freddy you romantic devil. Sounds like something else for the shop, "Music to Slap Her Ass By"

I have listed my musical tastes elsewhere and often on the board so I have little to add. I in fact agree with Gold that it's mainly for mood setting. Once we get down to the real deal I love to focus on the sounds that we are making together. The breaths coming in shorter and shorter gasps. Some erotic talk whispered in each others ears. That's the music I want then

Almost anything by Otis Redding, Etta James, Miles Davis, Joe Cocker, Pat Metheney or Claude Debussy
Santana's "Borboletta" album, Donald Fagan's "Nightfly" album.
Two of my favorite songs to get the mood going are "Still Got The Blues" by Gary Moore and "Since We Ended As Lovers" by Jeff Beck.
I could keep going but I'd only date myself even more.

Bolero. I swear, just *listening* to that piece makes me need a smoke afterward, and I don't smoke. Eeker

I tend to agree with MJB (and where have you got to during F & E's trial?) All the books says play sexy music... frankly past a certain point I would not know if it was angels or the Grump singing (and he is [take my word for it!] tone deaf!)

However if I had to decide Mozart, Strauss, yes Ravel's Bolero, several of the Spanish composers... lord as a classical music freak I could be here all night (which is probably why I don't listen to music when we are making love Smiler)

I posted these back on Best Mood Music. They work after the mood has been set as well...

Maria de Barros "Nha Mundo"
Sultry tunes from a Cape Verde songstress.

Les Nubians "Princesses Nubiennes"
A little French never hurts!

Morcheeba "Charango"
Don't miss the tune, Undress Me Now. I used this CD as background while giving my guy a theraputic massage recently and it unexpectedly turned to a massage with a "happy ending." My guy said, "Wow, what was that music?"

Miles Davis "Kind of Blue"
Classic jazz never goes out of style. Lots of other jazz would work as well.

Cheers!
