Soooo.... last night I hooked up a dimmer switch on the cable to the hitachi wand.
.... And it works!!! Very very cool indeed. All the way from nice and slow to the too-powerful full speed, and smooth as silk.
Definitely a big recommend from my side - it gives the toy a whole new dimension, and it can now be controlled by me rather than her, much like a sybian with its' control (But 25x less expensive!)
Hopefully the engine or dimmer isn't going to burn out or something - only had 2 runs with it so far, but both have been unqualified successes.
Very simple actually. Went to a hardware store and bought a light dimmer switch and a housing for it. Then cut the wire to the wand and connected up the dim switch and hey presto.
It makes it into a proper sex toy rather than just a curiously shaped back massager. Very very cool.

Hehe no, there really is no need for anyone I know! But what this does let you do is have it nice and slow and build it up... rather than the earth shattering almost immediate orgasm that the wand produces normally.
The girl who is using it is absolutely loving sitting on it, propped up on some pillows, with the gspot attachment, and just using the dim switch to control the intensity. Apparently even really slow feels awesome - probably something to do with the 'weight' of the vibration (Which would be heavier than your typical battery operated vibe).

I saw something at Wal Mart today that might be better modifying your wand. It's an extension cord with a dimmer slide built in. It's meant for lamps, but it just might work.
