The Om Is Ready..

Greetings, its been a while since I posted anything on my project, but a lot of things
have happened since then, and its been a journey and will continue to be in the most
positive sense. for instance, we have filed for patents, and are now patent pending!

First off, I would really like to thank everyone here at F&E who have helped, provided
inspiration and suggestions.

Especially, thanks again to Freddy and Bonkie and Tony for putting me in touch with so many in the business, and acting as a sounding board.
You guys have been so supportive and incredibly helpful. For if I had not found F&E, I would have probably still been puttering with various custom built machines and prototypes.

The following photos are of the Om machine that I sent to F&E this morning for review.
shipping weight was 25 pounds. The toy used in the photos is made by Tantus and its called "Charmer".

The Om. pure and simple, is a motorized articulating partner, think of it as the hands for your toys, this
produces a platform that leaves both partners hands free, able to roam and connect during lovemaking, or while solo.

The physical dimensions are with the pad attached..
16 inches long
11 inches wide
10 inches tall.
estimated total weight to be around 18 lbs.

The remote is an easy affair, the knob on the right controls the stroke speed, the one on the left controls the
vibration speed. push the knob down, to turn it off or on. turn clockwise to speed up. (just like a dimmer switch)
the knobs are large and easy to control with a fingertip.

The end of the Om holding the toys, is sealed from wetness although it is not immersible. It is designed to be
cleaned without too much trouble. In case of an electrical malfunction, there is a ground fault circuit interruptor to break the connection
to make for a safer experience..

It's saddle shaped, so it can be straddled. its also flat on the ends, so it may be stood on end and taken
while laying down, or while on hands and knees. it can be mounted to the adjustable base of
a desk chair as well for those who have knee problems for instance. .

The Om is powered by a variable speed 110v gear reduction motor, (sorry folks 110v a.c. only) and also is
equipped with a variable speed vibration unit. it has a stroke that is manually changeable from 2 in. to 4in.

(this is the om with the toy fully retracted)

(this is the om with the toy fully extended. set to 3.5 inches of thrust)

stroke speed when the machine is set to this specification of thrust, is roughly 90 strokes per minute.

the Om is shipped with a foam pad covered in microfiber ultrasuede. there are many colours
availible. and when it needs to be cleaned? unlace it on the bottom of the machine, and throw it in
the washing machine.

(the carrier that holds the toy, and its vibration engine. this end is covered with clear plexiglas held in with rare earth magnets)

We really wanted those who are able to enjoy the toys they have already, to do so, so the Om will take any number of
flared base dildos made for harness mount. I strongly suggest toys made by Tantus for use with the Om. its a
personal preference, they make great things. Smiler I do not reccomend toys made of metal glass or wood for the Om.
in this case softer is better. A softer toy is a safer one Smiler Changes can be made quickly by unscrewing a threaded collar that holds the toy in place.

We have also come up with a way to hook a Fleshlight onto the Om for male use
conversion kits will be available eventually.

Curious about owning one? Leave a message with F and E or feel free to contact me via PM. Each Om is hand made and
fabricated. depending on stock, there is up to a 4 week lead time on orders.

Thank you all so much again.

Cheers!
Nigel.

Nigel, it looks really interesting, and I love the velvety purple fabric on it. Do you have any women's reviews on using it?

Eddy - You have to put this ahead of all the other items you need to review. Curious minds want to know!!!

I just got done watching American Inventor. Dude, why aren't you on that show? This is much better than the sideways lawn mower. I just decided I need to somehow make a sex position out of that name. "The Sideways Lawn Mower." I think it will involve shaking my head back and forth while making motorboat sounds with my lips.

Anyway, again, it looks great. Maybe you can get Howard Stern to use it in place of the Sybian. Smiler

I thought that sideways lawnmower was pretty cool and the old guy selling it was absolutely adorable.

I too was thinking about what the judges reactions would be to Nigel showing how the Om works. Eeker

It needs to ship with a sunlamp and an answering machine because I predict anyone who gets this little beauty between their thighs may not be seeing sunlight or making contact with the outside world for some time!

Nice work Nigel. I love it when people devote themselves to the pursuit of pleasure.

haha. it isnt a hobby, it isnt a job. Its a way of life. haha.

im not rich or retired. Im actually a furnituremaker, with a diverse background in subjects from auto and aircraft parts, homebuilding, and networks and design. (in a nutshell) my education is mostly art based.

a number of years ago I was standing on a corner talking to a friend who is an artist, she was speaking to a friend of hers. A woman attorney who was discussing how she was tired of finding partners in bars, and wasnt being very kind towards men in general. So I said something about "It seems like you arent looking for a man, it seems you are looking for a robot"

she replied " if anyone could build it. you could" I did. When i finished the first one, it was 30 inches long, and weighed 30 pounds.

And she bought it. Smiler

When I finished the first one, my wife didnt know what i was building, I brought the finished machine in the house, set it down in front of her. She examined it. then understood what it was for.

She then called me an Evil Genius. (which is where that comes from) and folllowed it up with
"you dont expect me to try that i hope. im not getting within a mile of that!" Well living in a house full of machines,
eventually changed that sentiment, Now I would label her an "enthusiastic booster" lol.

Several designs came and went, mostly comissions at first for friends of the lady in the SF bay area..

I do not own a white cat. But I am loved and slobbered on by two incredible Newfoundland Dogs. Smiler

in the end. Ive built 25 of them now. in different configurations and shapes. This was the one in the end we decided to patent, and press forward in development.

In the following years. I spent a lot of time at a drawing board. Reading mutitudinous books on orgasm and response etc. and trying to find ways and parts to make a safer , more effective machine.

Who do I blame in the end? Freddy. I probably wouldnt have gone into patents and further development had I not found his most excellent site and message board. lol. hence all the thank yous. F and E members have given me great advice and inspiration. And of course encouraged me to press on.

Interested in an Om? feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

and all the best
cheers
Nigel.
