(meaning transcontinental travel, that is)

We're spending a few years in the UK, and one thing I miss a bit is my wife's enjoyment of her Hitachi Magic Wand, which obviously wouldn't like being plugged into double the voltage and a different frequency. We could use a transformer, but lugging out a big humming metal brick sorta puts a damper on things, and I'm not sure the difference in frequency would do it any good.

Anyone had to deal with this sort of thing before? I suppose I could try and spring for a dual-voltage vibe (?)... I believe the Eroscillator can take both, but I'm not certain (and not certain it's that much better than the Hitachi).

In the mean time, we do have battery-powered toys, but I'm afraid she's a bit of a power user and doesn't get much use out of the little things...

yeah the magic wand info sheet that comes with the vibe states. for use on u.s. voltages only. do not use with adaptor. the wand only draws 20 watts to operate.

not sure what to tell you. anyone out there in foreignlandia possess one or used one in another nation? (canada doesnt count) lol

both shaper image and brookstone carry nice sets of power transformers. you might want to check that out. but as for the do not use with adaptor warning they give. i have no idea.

cheers
Nigel.
