< !--color--> I set out to venture into something that was a bit out of my "normal" life of a full time working mom. I took up an "Intro of Pole-Dancing" class. I have to tell you, it was one of the most fun classes I have ever taken. You would think it would be this "sexual forum with all these very model type women". < !--color--> < !--color--> It was a class of total fitness with sexuality thrown in. I was just dying the next day from using muscles you normally don't use, which is your forearms and your triceps(the part under your biceps that usually has that "flabby" little skin that swings when you wave) Pretty, eh?! Think about it, something has to hold you up as you try, and I mean TRY to look sexy as you hoist your entire body up and swing around a pole. Sounds like an Eddy exclusive story don't you think?

Well you know, we actually have a vendor that wants to give us one. I guess we will have to take them up on it, eh?! But where shall we put it? Besides the Swing or on the other side with the The Luv Seat? Decisions, Decisions..... < !--color-->

I am an exotic dancer. I did not take pole classes so to speak. I watched the other girls at my club in maine and learned from them. There are some of them that just pull off these amazing changes that to ordinary people doesnt seem possible.
I didnt get a chance to become as good as them due to a motorcycle accident which lead to a knee surgery which endded my pole dancing career.
After I could not work the pole anymore I had to strengthen my floor dancing skills and to this day have had no complants, but the pole is definetly a task and a half. You get an incredible work out and bruises might I mind you.
You build your muscles and confidence. It keeps you in shape and if done right is one of the most beautiful forms of dancing that one has ever seen. I recommend trying it or going to see it to anyone.
Something of a similar nature and also gets the blood and juices flowing is strip tease. I purchased a book almost 2 years ago regarding this . It seems to go through literally everything needed from type of outfits to styles of music to incorporate to food to eat before getting to business and what to say. All the good stuff ameteurs and shy ones, like myself, need to get a good idea of what to do. I'll fish it out of my closet and let you know what the books is called.
Anyone do belly dancing? The idea of dancing the Dance of the Seven Veils with all those coy Salome-ish looks sounds like fun.
Also, anyone try couples ballroom dancing? Seems like a good work-out, plus being able to do everything backwards in heels might lead to some transferable knowledge. One can only hope!

I'd love to try pole dancing. It seems like such a good workout and soooo much fun! We went to a strip club about a year ago, and watching the girl's acrobatics was very impressive (and they were cute too). I'd love one of those poles made for home use, but I'd be worried our ceilings wouldn't support it.

as someone who messes about with houses recreationally. and not so recreationally. you shouldnt have too much trouble putting in a pole. but make sure its well anchored into either the concrete of the floor,or a floor joist. and into a structural member behind the cieling above.
you shouldnt have any trouble after that!
just look at whats there from the other side. say in the attic. or from the basement below.
cheers Nigel.

What a shame, too. It can be considered educational. How flexibility and the human body are closely connected and similar in different situations AKA different male dorm rooms. Because you know that they are all different in size
Thanks, Nigel. I'll have to look into that. We just bought our house in November, so we haven't done much research on the structure, etc. Just a lot of painting And no basements down here, damn South... We were very disappointed by that!
Kathy, it could also be considered a physics and anatomy lesson too
