LADIES AND GENTLEMEN May I Introduce another view on SEXY, dedicated to those who are BEYOND AVERAGE: (Ladies first) Wink

BBW -- 15 Big Beautiful Plus-Size Models

Sep 9th 2008
By Emily McCombs

When you think of a model, you probably picture a twiggy, alien-like creature who subsists mainly on a diet of nicotine and Tab. But we appreciate the female form in its many different shapes and sizes, from trim to voluptuous. So we decided to lavish some attention on the unsung sister to the runway waif, the plus-size model.

The full-figured females in the gallery below aren't all as famous as the Kate Mosses of the world, but they do have one thing in common: They get our blood pumping with their dangerous curves. Check out our shapely slideshow as we count down the hottest BBWs.

GG I just find some of your posts rude. Sexy is in the eye of the beholder. How can you insult someone for thinking a certain body type is sexy. I feel sorry for you. I think naked old people are gross. How's that one.
Ok before I get bashed too badly I want to say that this comment is directly intended for GG, not anyone else and personally I think mature men and women are VERY sexy. I have a thing for older bald men, go figure (think Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek). That being said, I do think GG needs to evaluate the tone of her posts to certain people. My comment was made for GG to understand how written words can hurt and we all need to remember that before we write. If I get booted off, so be it.

Contempt and arrogance are total turn-offs in my view. Unfortunately, some members here, who used to be helpful and kind, seem irritated and bored with the content of these boards a lot of the time--sorta the yawning 'been there, done that' attitude. Might be time for those who spew negativity to reevaluate where they really want to spend their time.

We've all heard it before and its hackneyed as it comes: 'If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all.' In this global mess we are currently in, we all need more kindness and consideration, not less. Let's all save the barbs for when people really deserve them. I find this to be a charming thread, so I'd really hate to see it wrecked.

The photo G.G. speaks of is the Late CANADIAN actor/comedian John Candy (1950-1994).

Apparently his wife (Rosemary Margaret Hober) thought he was pretty SEXY because she married him in April 1979 until his death.

And imagine this Eeker: She even HAD to have had SEX with him at least twice, because they also had two lovely children, Jennifer (born February 3, 1980) and Christopher (born 1984).

They've grown up to be GORGEOUS adults, by the way. Hmmmmm maybe one day they'll even read this thread.

The view of what constitutes beauty changes from era to era and is certanly in the eye of the beholder.

As Ultlushamed stated in her first post, Twiggy is moving away from the ideal. Models are becoming more cervacious. Certanly from my own POV none of the girls in the link are un attractive.

The human body is beautiful in its parts and as a whole, the pendulum swings too and frow. We have gone from the Rubonesque view of Venus to Twiggy and back.

Also, beauty is more about being proud of ones self and comfortable in your skin than the asthetics of the package. How you present yourself is far more important!

GG you are gorgeous and never let any one say different! And if they do then just shrug as each person is entitled to their own opinion.

I think I am sexy because the one person that matters in my life, SL, thinks so.

To all: participate, discuss but stop hacking on each other for their opinon.

John Candy was a larger individual and probably had many healt concerns due to his size but he was loved by many and certanly loved by his wife.

My two cents

I think people have gotten a tad offended too quickly on a rather touchy subject.

For the record, none of those women in that gallery could be considered BBW anywhere except inside the modeling/fashion world. All are extremely beautiful and sexy, and none come anywhere close to my concept of what a BBW looks like. They're simply hot women of average body-type.

Now, for the record, I went over the other thread, and I never really saw anything that said "Fat people; Ewwwwww!!!!" or anything that could be construed as malicious (Attempts at humor aside). I could have missed something, but what I did see was a ton of overreaction to simple statements of opinion, which was what was asked for in the thread.

This thread's creation strikes me as a bit of an embittered overreaction to the "What's Sexy; Size 2 or 12?" thread's re-opening, and, while I enjoyed staring at the pictures of beautiful curvy women, it appears, from the outside, as a knee-jerk reaction to someone seeing something they didn't like. If I'm wrong, my apologies, but appearances are everything.

I'm going to completely avoid the other thread- I've no desire to get into a research-slinging match over which studies show what, because, in the field of diet and nutrition, for every study that shows one thing, there's a study that shows the opposite. The industry is built on it- Remember, there were "scientific studies" done that showed the "Ab-belt" was a useful exercise implement and that Atkins was a healthy way to shed body fat. None of them were correct, BTW.

BTW: I like my women muscled. Not grotesque in nature, but off-competition fitness competitor muscled. Those women, by bullshit BMI standards, are overweight, sometimes by as much as 30 lbs. I don't personally consider obese (What is considered Obese varies by personal opinion on matters of attractiveness) to be attractive, but I'm not judgmental of those who do, nor do I really care. Again, none of the women in this gallery come anywhere close to obese, let alone BBW.

And, I'll add that anyone who is themselves judgmental of those who prefer a different body-type than they do still makes themselves look like a self-centered prick/twat, no matter what their stance on the subject is. Mind your own business, and if you ask for an opinion, take what you get; Its an opinion, for fuck's sake- It's not law, just some idiot's thoughts on a subject.

WTF?

I started this thread because I am and have ALWAYS been motivated to TRY TO HELP PEOPLE FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES.

This goes ESPECIALLY for those who may be considered 'the wallflowers of life'.

I wasn't a wallflower outwardly. But inwardly, yes.
Again, silly, foolish ME! Wink

All I can say is AMAZING. Dissing a thread obviously meant to validate a widely maligned group of people sucks. But attributing motives to the originator of this thread, such as 'embittered overreaction' and 'knee-jerk reaction' Geesh.

BTW Jay, you stated a body type preference which isn't mine. Should I trash it and possibly insult you and others here? No. I should keep my f***ing mouth shut.

So why not post it in THAT thread? I was just reading it not too long ago, about what people thought of the female bodybuilders.

GO...HAVE AT IT!...Please...go ENJOY yourself! Smiler

Actually, as I mentioned, I found the women in the gallery quite beautiful.

And Cecily, thank you for beautifully proving my point. You're right, I stated a body-type preference which others disagree with. Because of that, if someone disagrees with my OPINION, it would be wise- and respectful- of them to simply disagree; Not to trash and insult that person's thoughts or opinions, but rather just to understand that people have differing views on things.

Funny thing; In the other thread, Kathy stated an opinion on a body type that was not in agreement with some people's opinions. There was no maliciousness, just her thoughts. Did people, as you put it "keep my (their) f***ing mouth(s) shut"??. No, they trashed and insulted her.

If you think the drubbing she took on the board was bad, you should see the PMs I've gotten; People drudging up past issues she's had, and asked for help with, insults, and various other ridiculous bullshit, and all because she had an opinion on something as worthless as body type.

Wait; aren't the judgmental people in that thread some of the same that are in here?? Does that qualify as irony, hypocrisy, or just a proven point?

i dunno sparkplug, ive avoided this thread because of the last one. but frankly i think you need to go back to kathys post. then read mine, and maybe youll see what i saw. youll also see i apologized for flying off the handle like it did and i dont think i said anything in an uncontrolled manner. read it yourself.

ive got nothing to say. except when you try to back up your "opinion" and catch flak for it.
I dropped my anger at the door when i returned.

i suggest you do same.
