I get that it's a matter of a local and couple of days of soreness, has anyone had any more problems than that?

Anyway, JackandJill, I joined the club last year and after a couple days of soreness was good as new. It's a great relief, actually, to not worry about birth control at all anymore and definitely worth the inconvenience and couple bags of frozen peas sacrificed to the cause.

I've had the procedure done...TWICE! My sperm count went back up 6 months after the first one, so I had to get a little more extensive procedure the second go-round.

Everything worked out great, and am very happy with results. The temporary discomfort is minimal and, let's be fair, is nothing compared to pregnancy and childbirth.

But I HIGHLY recommend going back to the doctor for ALL of the recommended follow-up. I mean, it's just jacking off in a cup, and it's a great excuse to get a blowjob or buy some good porn.

Ok I'll post this again G got the snip back in 1976. They didn't do the procedure under a local then so he got a friend to drive him to and from the hospital. He never took any pain killers, never needed any bags of frozen peas - in fact at that time we had sheep and within 24 hours he was out and about sorting out a recalcitrant ewe that had gone wandering. He grabbed her horns straddled her and walked her back into the field! He said the worst bit was the saline baths. There was no check up later to ensure he was firing blanks - thankfully he obviously was!

Jack.....i had mine done by my GP in his office. it took about 25 minutes under a local. i put on an athletic supporter, and iced my groin off and on for most of that same day. i went to work the next day, and just tried not to lift anything heavier than 5-10 lbs for a few days.

i can remember having sex 3-4 days after surgery. the whole experience was no big deal at all. i have heard some horror stories from guys who had it done and went to work the same day...either walking or lifting...those guys get the grapefruit size balls.

the key is ice the first day and just slowing the pace down for a few.

one great thing about the deal was my GP wanted me to ejaculate 10 times and then bring him a specimen so he could confirm zero sperm. we were hard after it for a while, and i wonder if her noticed saliva in that last blast...my wife spit it into the cup....LOL!
