I don't know how many guys (or girls) are into football but I've stumbled on a cool football RPG (roll playing game). It's called goal line blitz. You create your own player and get picked up by a team. You get a contract and can work on your abilities. It's in the early phases, but there are are a lot of players and it is pretty addictive. And it's free. I've only been on for a couple of days and found it's a great way to pass the time between now and the draft and eventual opening day.

Sweet. You'll find it's pretty addictive. If I were you I'd sign up on a computer team for right now (who should present you with a couple of offers right away). You can start building up your guy right away. That's what I did in one of mine. Then I had a friend of mine add me to his team.

I'm going to wait until I get at least five or six F&E players interested before throwing down any $$ for a team. Out of curiosity, why did you pick a kicker?

Well, you're right there. If you're looking to just jump on any human team, you'll probably garner more attention as a kicker. But if we form a F&E team you can be whoever you want! I'd probably do it on a first-come-first-serve basis. But if you want to get going now you could always play on a CPU team or find a human one and I can try to trade/sign you later. The only drawback on joining a human team now is they may not want to trade you away. Anyway, have fun with it! I only wish it moved faster.

i signed with the hamburg wildcats. looks like we have a game coming up this weekend. record is 1-0, so it looks like their season is just started.

does the CPU play everyone?....or do i need to do something to get playing time?

I'm not sure. How many kickers are on your roster? Apparently you get more playing time the higher your stamina is. But for a kicker that may not be all that important as you're on the field a lot less than everyone else. I take it you signed with a CPU team then? I haven't heard yet if anyone else wants to join yet. I have my first game here in about 10 minutes. I'll let you know how it turns out.

the cpu teams have all been bought and will go live. i have two players who kick....i pretty much cloned the first.

one plays tonight, the other is still a free agent.

i see where they're going to create more leagues and teams.

i have 2 players on 2 live teams now.

one canadia team, the other on an asian team.

Yeah, I see that all the teams ran out before I was able to buy one. They have more servers on the way so I'll try to get one during the next wave. But you're the only one from F&E to express interest in this, so I may not buy a F&E team. We'll see.

I currently have three players on two teams: A QB, WR and OT. My OT is a fat bastard (6'4/325!) and was made to provide depth (he's a backup). For some reason my WR has been regulated to #3 on the depth chart and I've been kind of disappointed in his play. But our entire passing attack isn't very good right now. Those two are on one team that is improving. We just played the #1 team in our conference and put up field goals to their TDs. It was a lot closer than the score though. We're currently in 7th place (out of 14 I think). I think we'll make the playoffs.

My QB on the other team just played his first game and our passing attack there is even worse (everyone is level 2 or below). We also have five QBs, so getting playing time (and the experience that goes along with it) is going to be slow.

What position is your second guy? This is a fun little game, huh.

my kicker got cut for a level 4 player, so i retired him and gave birth to a big ass defensive end. i paid a few bucks and bumped both my players to level 4. they're both starters on the same team now.

we got beat first game...similar to your experience. we play our second game tomorrow, and i hope my DE gets some sacks. i really pumped up his speed and sack ability. my center did a good job all day.

as much as freddy likes sports, i'm surprised he hasn't jumped on this one.

Be patient with your DE. In this game I've found it's pretty hard to get sacks and I haven't seen many with people under level 5. But I'm sure he'll be a monster.

I just traded my fat guard that WAS a backup on one of my teams to my OTHER team where he'll start (apparently I'm also a GM of that team now). I timed it wrong, though, because he'll just miss our game tonight and miss out on XP that would've bumped him to level 5. Ah well. I know we could use a tough DE. We're starting a level one guy named "Pee Wee." I don't think his owner is very good or active.

well, i'm raring for season 2 to start. my SS is on AA Denang Tigers and my C,DE & WR are on A Panther Hollow Ponkos.

Freddy, I have room for a #2 QB and #2/3 WR. I also have a lot of other spots open. You both could be tackles, guards, CBs, safeties, tight ends (hey, that might be perfect for Eddy... ) I'd sign both of you in an instant.
