As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For the foot fetishist this certainly holds true. There are literally different strokes for different folks. I have known foot fetishists who languish over long, finger-like toes and very large feet on a woman. I have also known foot fetishists who crave small, delicate feet with perfectly red shelaqued toenails. Some are content to simply be in the visual presence of the beloved foot; while others require a more tactile, visceral experience of their object of worship. The answer may be that we don't know....

However, we have been told on good authority that foot fetishism is the most common of all fetishes. As to why this particular body part commands so much attention, no one seems to be able to say for sure. It may be partly the fact that, at least in most cultures and climates, feet are covered up in public more often than not, so seeing them bare can lend itself to a sense of private familiarity or intimacy. But it should be noted that
almost every human body part has its devotees... breasts/chests, eyes, legs, arms, hair, genitalia, etc. Although we always encourage people to cultivate an interest on the "whole person," we all have our favorite
elements, and that seems to just be part of being human.
