Okay so F&E is growing everyday, and with that growth will surely come more diverse people and people with more interests and curiousities.
That also means, some folks will be curious or interested or concerened or what have you about aspects of this lifestyle, no matter how minute, but may not feel comfortable asking in the open forum.
Judging by the number of views vs. replies here, it is obvious that people are looking but not responding. Now certainly that can be that the specific topic is not of interest but it can also indicate an unwillingness to respond openly.
So, in that spirit, I would like to say that if any one has ANY questions, please feel free to PM or email me. I am not the end all cure all of D/s by any means and in no way is my opinion going to be the only one out there. But what I do offer is an open, non-judgemental (well to a point), honest opinion. I will do my best to answer any questions to the best of my abilities and if you stump me, I have an amazing mentor I will call upon for help.
D/s can be a very confusing, uncertain, even scary experience. It also can be (and SHOULD be) a very loving, understanding, mutual experience.
There is a lot of BS out there and that feeds the misconceptions and stereotypes that all too often preclude many people from exploring this side of life. It is certainly not for everyone but it is for more people than a lot of people realize.
The extenet of a D/s relationship may be no more than the occassional spanking during sex (received by either the male or female btw) to full blown 24/7 total submission.
The key is to remember that D/s is not a one size fits all experience and we can each mold it into whatever suits our lives and personalities.
Just trying to offer some guidance in this confusing world chuck full of goofy porn images and crappy "wanna-be" internet dom's.
I am very much about safety, security, compassion, and true feelings. D/s does NOT have to equal pain! Many find extremely powerful feelings exploring aspects of D/s without ever engaging in pain. Pain is only one facet of the experience and not a necessary one. Unfortunately, pain is the first thing that gets associated with D/s.
That said, I'm here, ask away. And all you anonymous readers really should register!
Welcome Desertrose! I hope you know you just responded to a nearly 4 year old thread. Anyway, hubby and I aren't into a whole lot of BDSM (just blindfolding and mild restraining pretty much) but check out the other topics in this section and see what others have to say!
