HI THERE EVERYONE!

Does anyone know where I can find really nice costumes? I want to surprise my husband when he comes home from Iraq. He's been wanting me to wear a naughty little costume and I am going to fulfil his wish. I just need to know where to look for the nicer costumes. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Beck

www.trashy.com is one place for naughty costumes, as well as Frederick's of Hollywood. Anything specific you're looking for?

Is this who I think it is?

Hey there Freddy! Yeah it's me!! Can't wait to get my red one!

Keith hasn't decided on what kind of costume he wants me in yet but I want to send him some sites to look at so he can send the outfits that he does like back to me. That way I can go through them and maybe pick out a few and it will still be a surprise to him on his Mid-Tour leave. I want the costumes to be a real nice quality though. I do know that he wants to see lots of skin though...that man is all about seeing skin and NO fabric of any kind. He doesn't want to have to use his imagination. LOL. Love him to death though!

Hi Becky!
I truly love Trashy Lingerie's costumes. They are really nice, but you have to visit Wild in Secret to see some of their costumes. I trust both of these sites. In fact I get my yearly Halloween costume at Trashy for the Erotica Ball during October. Have fun looking for sexy ones!

Becky,

Welcome to the site. Can't go wrong with either of the suggestions above. Do stay away from Frederick's though. While they've got a lot of things that look neat, we've been pretty dissapointed with their quality and fit.

I know this thread is old, but I am looking to get some costumes for my wife, and trashy has some really nice stuff, but it seems pretty expensive. Is it worth the extra money, and is there another place that has a nice selection of costumes for a lower price?

Not an expert here, my only tiny glimpse in the world of costume is from the Carnival in Venice, wich is quite a different thing. But the stuff in the Trashy catalogue looks rather good in a cartoonish sort of way, with quite elaborate details. In relation to that the prices look very decent to me. Love the Marie Antoinette costumes, lol.

Try making your own. Corsets, fishnet stockings, garters, and other "unmentionables" make great foundations to many costumes. Add to that pieces found at the salvation army and other consignment shops as well as ebay and the world is your oyster. A corset (or not!) under a peasent blouse (with strings untied) with a peasent skirt would make a great serving wench costume.

Just an idea.

Pretty true. This is the costume I made for Venice Carnival this winter. No budget project made with scraps of this and that. Admittedly it takes some time and work, but it is not so terribly difficult. I cannot sew!

But it's true I cannot!!! I only picked pieces of clothing and made changes. The only thing I sewed (sown... sewn... jee what's the word?!!) is the tall gothic neck of the jacket, and the lace wrists (which do not show in the pic). The rest is just a matter of painting, stitching ribbons and beads and matching the pieces. That is my point though. You don't need to be a tailor to put together something unusual. Just look around and use you fantasy! Smiler
