Okay, so a large percentage of women don't wear the right size bra, etc.
Problem for me is that so many sites out there give different information on measuring. I refuse to add 5 to my "band" measurement because I'll end up with a ridiculously loose band that rides up. So here's my problem. According to the most reasonable measurement system I've found so far, I'm a 36 G. Um... this is not so much a good thing if I ever want to find a pretty bra. Or a bra at all, for that matter. Where am I supposed to find a nice, simple yet attractive bra in the right size? I am not a grandma and don't want to have to wear bras that make me look like one. I want some fun lingerie that doesn't look horribly stupid on my body. Why can't I find that anywhere? I'm sick of babydolls being the only option for plus sized women. I'm sick of ugly ass bras in my size if I can find them at all. What am I supposed to do now??? ~Ang |

somewhere. there is a think tank. its in an isolated place. and within are the people who dream up ideas like stiff irritating lace, sex toys made to resemble guiness book of world records entries on the largest possible insertable item, and vibrators that seem more to wheeze than vroom.
its nothing new. for years ive frequented big and tall shops looking for good quality large men's wear. this year. i walk in. my favourite t shirts are no longer made. and in thier place. large ones that have the words "Big Daddy" stenciled across the front. since that day ive hit a loss of 70 pounds. and resolve to not buy clothes until i can buy them where the hades everyone else does. im starting to look like something from the film castaway tho i fear. lol another rocket scientist in the design department no doubt. what they might come up with in the future is anyones guess. but when they finally realize that comfort and visuals are important. both for the thick and the thin. o simply or not simply put. comfort is sexy. if your comfortable, its easier to feel sexy . but those guys in that bunker...theyll never figgure it out. heh --= I Might be the Stig =-- |

Granted I don't have a lot of first hand experience so please be gentle when pointing out what a male I am but would something along one or two of these lines:

Ang, have you tried Buck and Topless's store? If they don't carry something, they may be able to special order it for you. Good luck, lingerie can be frustrating, especially when only on for a few minutes

A league of their own with Madonna in the team house with a really tight dress on commenting 'hunny, it won't be on for long enough to worry' comes to mind . Kathy |

Unfortunatley I don't have any plus sized bras in stock as it is so money consuming to carry all sizes in multiple quantities. I can, however, help you find your measurements and maybe point you in the direction of someone who does carry them in stock.
Ang, PM me your measurements under your bust and again across the fullest part of your breast wearing a lightly padded/no padding bra. Give my your jeans/dress size too. Good news is that we have found some really cute plus sized (up to 6x in some) items at this years Lingerie show. I've got some testers coming in. We are looking to also increase our men's and stockings, which we have found some really neat things! Keep a look out! |

CelticFrog- make sure you get fitted at a specialty store, by a pro. Measuring yourself will probably leave you with the wrong size because of the way your breasts change shape when lifting your arms. They will take 3 measurements at least, under the breast, at the fullest part and a few inches above that. I was measured the other day after wearing a 36D for a bit over a year having been measured at three different shops (Victoria's Secret, The Bay, La Vie En Rose). I was told at the specialty shop I was in fact a 32G and the difference is amazing. And their selection is beautiful, it does have some "grandma bras" yes, but most are very sexy and cute.

The problem with specialty stores are that there are none near me. So I have to rely on whatever I can manage. A 36G does fit for now, although I'm losing weight so I don't expect that to remain for long.
