Other than the sexy look of the thing, does anyone know any other advantages of this $50 panty? I can't imagine they'd be the most comfortable underwear either.
My guess is that the pearls may ride up a bit more than the typical thong or g-string and actual provide some minor clitoral stimulation while being worn. However, that's only my guess as my wife hasn't tried them.
Something else on the pricing point that we've found in our explorations of fine lingerie (we're actually getting ready to open a lingerie site) is that while price doesn't always mean high quality, for the most part you get what you pay for. We've seen crap products both cheap and expensive, and we've also seen some really nice stuff that's been midrange in price, but we have yet to run across any really high quality items that would fall into the "cheap" price category. Though we haven't had a chance to get our hands on a bracli, it is supposed to be a pretty nice quality piece.
JcPenny (of all places) had one kinda like the official one. The pearls did not go all the way up in the front. But I loved the back part and the part the pearls did touch! Sad thing is, the string broke and the pearls fell off after the first time I wore it. Good thing I got it on clearance for only a couple bucks. I'm gonna try and fix it though.
I quote Buck "sometimes you get what you pay for".
We are looking into some beautifully detailed g-strings with intricate lace and beading/jeweled. The only thing is, they will retail simlar to the Bracli.
How do you ladies feel about spending $50ish on a thong? Even if it is high quality and beautiful?
For me to spend $50 on a thong (no matching bra or any other frills), that thing better come equipped with a mechanism to get me off while I'm wearing it.
It does look cute in pictures, but I have to wonder about comfort. I'd hate to bend over for something and feel like I was being sawed in half.

I with Headhurt on this one. Although, I have been know to spend a fair amount of money toys, lingerie and other things for the bedroom, I think $50 is a bit extreme for a pair of panties. Maybe if it was the one to rule all panties and maybe it did the dishes too. I'm wondering if maybe this is exactly that (minus the dishes). Does anyone have a pair and is it worth the $50?
Having tried a cheap version with artificial pearls I am convienced that the real thing would be wonderful... and it IS Christmas in less than two months

Well, if it is really really beautiful I could easily spend also something more wether it´s a thong, a sable brush, a set of japanese bowls or an old garden rose. I am in no way rich but one can indulge herself a couple of times a year, or not? I don´t know is 50 $ really so disproportionate for that particular object? I do live in a tremendously expensive part of Italy, so even a pair of absolutely normal-nice panties can easily cost 30-35 €.
Unfortunately, America tends to be the land of mass quantity and cheap prices over high quality due to the influx of the Wal-Mart culture so over here $50 for a panty is pretty rare unless you're high end shopping in places like New York and Los Angeles where that's a reasonable price. Shoot 35 euro's is $45/US so it's really not that far off your pricing over in Italy.
Just out of curiosity, with Italy being considered one of the leading fashion countries, do most clothing items over there tend to be more expensive than in similar European countries like France, Spain, Germany?
Can't speak for Spain and France, because I never traveled in Spain and in France I did not look at clothing at all. But Italy is most, most definitely more expensive then Germany in clothing (and food). It is also in some percentage about my town, wich is somewhat more expensive compared to other towns. I'd say Venice, Milan and Florence are the only other places in Italy with such high prices. Ya well.
Whoa $45 is standard? All I know is I am pretty happy with my 3 for $38(cad) panties. Wow, if panties were $45, I'd end up with only one pair and have to wear it back to back.
