As I was soaking in our pure indulgence the other night (also known as a hot tub) I was thinking about how nice it is to be able to treat yourself to an occassional indulgence. What do you guys and gals do that really is a luxury to treat your mind, body, and/or spirit?

Obviously our latest would have to be the hot tub we bought this summer. It's just now really getting cool out so it's been even more fun the past week. Topless and I finally got the nerve up to really indulge last night though and went skinny dipping for the first time in the tub! The trick is from the right placement you can see into the area our tub is from one of the neighbor's bedroom windows. That will change next summer, but for now who knows, we might be giving their 16 year old a free show! LOL

Freddy and I will probably see eye to eye on this one: coffee. The high-end espresso machine, the high-end burr grinder, and the European-cafe-perfect mocha that they make for me every morning.

No wonder you and Freddy get along so well! You two are like two peas in pod. Coffee pod that is! Amuse me, will ya?! I guess we will have to hook up at your local coffee brewery when we come up next summer. We will be out your way for a family reunion. They best be grinding up some Kona!

But back to the question of indulgence. I think receiving a massage from my beautiful insightful husband would be my number one indulgence. Together I think it would be having a luxurious dinner. We so enjoy those well spent hours letting our tastebuds awaken to exotic spices while sipping lovely wines. Life can be so grand!

mmm coffee... mmm tea... caffiene has no effect on me... but ive been drinking coffee since grade 5 and i have about two cups of tea in the morning... My parents even have a tim hortens coffee maker. but that isnt my indulgence. I would have to say either a bath .. a massage from theo... or shopping. ooo or reading. I think i enjoy my life too much everything seems like indulgences...

Not really sure what my indulgences are lately...

I can't wait to get into a different area where we might have a day spa or something a little closer. A massage combined with a manicure and pedicure would be the ultimate indulgence for me personally (at least right now!!!)

Together, I think my favorite indulgence has been getting a babysitter for overnight and heading into the 'city' to spend a night at the themed Anniversary Inn. We've done it twice now, and both times were amazing.

Once we get into a more populated area, we'll be indulging a little bit in the swinging lifestyle. We're BOTH looking forward to that!

man i love getting a pedicure/manicure with or without a massage. I like my bf massages a lot so i dont need someone else to do that.. plus when he does it ends in sex. .. but yeah i love those little things you can do for yourself like haircuts, manicure, pedicure, new outfits, or a workout.. they all fall under "no matter what its a good day"

My friends and I were just talking about this the other day. My indulgence is getting my hair cut at Dosha Salon. It's all Aveda products, and every haircut starts with a scalp and neck massage and ends with a hand massage.

I also spend a little money to get my eyebrows waxed. Probably more money than I should on it, but it makes me feel so good and pretty to have perfectly arched brows.

For things I do myself, every week I do the pedicure/facial thing. It's a timd that I can relax and do something for myself. With my new job, I'm on my feet ALOT and I realy appriciate the time to pamper my feet.

Oh and for me, coffee isn't an indulgence...it's a necessity Although the Eggnog Latte is a special treat for me. Thank goodness it's almost that time of year!

To show the geekier side of all this, I have one MAJOR indulgence. My Computer!!! I spend WAY to much time and money on it. It's like a hotrod for me, I'm always tweaking and upgrading, and modding, and doing just about anything I can to get the most out of it. An FYI: Just blew a motherboard and a CPU....see it's definately an indulgence. :P

On the more personal side: A good top of the line Sushi meal, from the really good places, or even getting it and making it at home! FRESH HOME HAND MADE SUSHI! with a dash of ginger and wasabi! Dang!

My indulgence is when kiddo is at her dads and cowboy is outta town, renting movies and buying enough chinese food to feed a small army and having a smorg on the floor in front of the tv wearing my PJ's. There is NOTHING better!

* I don't drink coffee but don't you dare let me run out of Tea!

I've got two major indulgences in my life. This computer and my DVR. Computer is for fun and the DVR records most of the shows I like to watch. Working the night shift I miss out on most of the prime time shows and the DVR allows me to watch them at 6 a.m. when I get off work. The computer connects me to wonderful people who make life more fulfilling. I guess I should list my wife as my MAJOR indulgence tho. She is so beautiful that sometimes i'm just stunned.

Ben & Jerry's and a good movie always hits the spot for us. I also love buying a nice new pair of jeans and sleeping in... Sometimes sleeping *in* the jeans!

Yup, there's a couple of cafes in town that serve Kona. We're hooked on Kicking Horse coffee these days, but it's a Canadian thing. Anyhow, I'll look forward to it!

Our joint indulgence is definitely our cottage. Nothing like taking a five-day weekend (we both have flexible schedules) and hauling our asses up the coast for some serious privacy and liesure time.

Speaking of coffee as an indulgence, it's the time of year for mine: Eggnog Lattes. Yummy!!

Another indulgence of mine is going to the movies. I do the whole thing: movie, soda, popcorn, sometimes even candy depending on the time of the month ;-) I don't do it often anymore, but when I do it's a happy thing and it makes me feel good.

I'd have to say fishing, any time I get out on my boat fishing is a major attitude adjustment, just sit out there, relax, rock with the waves, look at the sky.... its therapy for me...

especially if I catch something over 20 lbs :P

A man after my own heart! It's been a while since my family has had a boat to fish from, but some of my fondest memories are fishing with my dad. I still love to hit the farm ponds at my parents place whenever I get time and could easily spend a few hours just walking the bank and getting a line wet.
