Does anyone have any esperience with 'personal' shavers?

I was at the Everything to do with Sex show in Toronto this weekend and I came across the "Ultime Personal Shaver" display. http://www.ultimatepersonalshaver.com/

The booth girl did a demo on my girl friends head. We had shaved it a few days prior so there was a bit of stubble. She used the trimmer first and then shaver and it was smooth as a baby's bottom. My GF said she felt no pulling, and the booth girl assured us its the exact same when using it on and around the kitty area... that sold us.

I finally tried it out, on my arm first and was a lot disappointed. It basically took like 10 hairs off in an 1" area and kinda hurt. My GF decided to try it on her kitty (without knowing that I had already given it the thumbs down) and it was all kinds of pulling!

After putting an inquiry into the manufacturer they claim I was not using it right and provided instructions that were 100 time more detailed than the booklet included in the box and I have still had no success. We basically have a $80 head shaver now lol

I am thinking its basically a write off to get our money back on this one, but can anyone recomend a different brand that they have had success with?

Cheers!
Ashleigh

I've used the product you have a link to, and I agree, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. To be prefectly honest, I've always had fabulous luck with my trusty Norelco (before I dropped it on the bathroom floor Frowner ) and now my new Norelco. You can get a decent one at any drugstore or the dreaded Walmart for under $50, and you can use it on your legs too, which I do a lot in the winter when I don't want to dry my skin out. They also have beard trimmers, so if you are a bit furry down below, use that first to get it as short as possible Smiler

I go with the Norelco Bodygroom. Being a man it works quite well, I have used it a bit on my wife and it seems just fine. Don't get me wrong, I haven't found an electric shaver that is "perfect". Nothing beats a blade for smoothness, but the Bodygroom is quick and does a decent job.

Thanks to the F&E boards... we also have a Norelco Bodygroom. That thing saves me so much time.
We use that, then touch up with my Schick Intuition razor.
