Hi All, well as I've now been sixty for nearly 6 months and G is now 66 I thought I'd kick off a discussion on sex and love making for us older folk...Neither of us is as athletic as we were when we were younger but this does not mean that our love life has stopped. It has simply changed... whereas when I first joined these boards the sex was, just about, every night now we may make love three or four nights in a row and then take a breather for a few nights. We don't 'plan' our love life just simply let it happen

amen gg!i turned 59 last month and allthough my drive is as strong as ever my performance isn't. i do believe the act is more satisfying then it ever was physically and especially emotionally though!enjoy!!ketch!!

Thanks GG and ketch for being honest about how sex changes in our life time and that we each roll with the punches as to speak. As we, as F&E are in our 40s, we see that it has changed in how often we do it from our 20s. But never has it changed in how it is a priority in our relationship.

Right now we've both got filthy colds and coughs - the love making has not been a high priority for about a week, but watch out when we both feel well again

I am in my mid-30s and teach at the college level. I teach a section of Introduction to Sociology and we just covered the chapter that discusses sexuality over the life span. What you are sharing here (and what I tell my students, much to their dismay, haha) is that sex doesn't disappear for our parents and grandparents. In fact, sex can be much more satisfying over the life course. You are giving me teaching material as you share.

Good to hear it is useful for your teaching Mina. Sex and love and the need to be loved never disappear... it changes and transmutes but does not fade. When I look at G I don't really see a man in his mid 60s but my sexy lover.
