I realize we have all ages on the boards so this might not pertain to everyone.

Some of us girls were talking at the coffehouse the other day. (First sign you are getting old, discussing sexploits over latte's instead of frozen margaritas at the bar on Friday night) and the topic came up on how we did things when we were younger that we would never do today, or would we? We tried to factor out marriage, commitment, running for Vice President.

Example, as I may have noted elsewhere on these boards I once came with 100,000 people around me at a UT football game. While I'm probably to the left of conservative, I'm not sure I'd let someone finger me to climax at a football game today. Unless of course it was a Pac-10 game. Wink

No censensus was reached that afternoon. So I pose the question to the wisest people I know, not so fast Ajay, does wisdom come with age or just boredom?

i might be one of the biggest wise guys you know. but ehehe.

wisdom comes from being able to see what goes on about you. boredom comes from self insulation and possibly breeds ignorance. .

personally i think its more about personality.

=)
(relive? oh yeah, i've got very few regrets)
cheers

okay.....i waited for someone else to post first.....do i get a gold star by my name today?

i have to agree with nigel. boredom blossoms in people who are into "self" and selfishness. people who are giving and interactive with others never get bored.

wisdom has nothing to do with age. i see many people who have done the same idiotic things for 20-30 years. wisdom comes from experience and coupling that experience with intelligence. i've seen many people who were very wise at a young age.

example : you can take "street smart" and accomplish great things for those less fortunate, or take "street smart" and compound the problems.

i think getting fingered at a pac-10 game is pretty much like getting fingered at a big-10 game....thrilling, ingenious, exciting, fulfilling. it's an experience you may want to repeat again because it's probably pretty wise knowing that no one expects or suspects. let us know, i hope you squirt!!

I agree. I'm pretty sure that I'm in the "wise but young" category, but there is still a certain common sense and higher level thinking that getting older brings. Kind of "if I knew then what I know now", if you will.

And I'm not a big football fan, but I sure would show up for that game Wink

I think that knowing what I know now I will skip making love on boulder in the middle of the woods. My back was feeling very unsexy the day after.

Age does provide a world of experiences we care not to repeat. Like screwing a girlfriend unprotected in a Chevy Chevette on the side of a road. I was younger and VERY lucky as well as much more flexible(I am more "Entish" now!)

There are advantages to being Entish

1) You get to squash orcs more often.
2) Home renovations are easier because of the root like fingers that can disassemble a stone wall.
3) You are much more fire resisitant due to the barklike skin.
4) Drinking your meal is MUCH more accepted.

MJ (Such as hasty name but my real one would take too long!)
