For all those US members have a great holiday. For our many members from other lands forgive us our pride. Like Freddy, there will be mucho cooking and grilling going on here. Hubby doing baby back ribs and chicken thighs. I will focus on the important items, banana pudding and strawberry pie.
Massive fireworks display set for the cul-de-sac. There's just something about grown men, having to many beers and shots of lord knows what, fireworks, and young children within a close area, that says this is a holiday to me.

BTW the little one is at his aunts tonight so there should be some fireworks tonight as well. Here's hoping his Roman Candle doesn't go off to early Just teasing honey!

I was down there a few days ago and wish I could've stayed a few more.
We've just celebrated Canada Day too so YAY for fireworks! Heehee.

I wish all of you and your family a FANTASTIC and safe 4th of July. For us, it is a time for celebration and just touching base with all of our neighbors. Have fun shooting off fireworks (if you're not in Los Angeles County) and making some for yourselves!

Yep, it's that time again. The Fourth of July. Randy and I were going to head back home for the weekend this afternoon, but what we didn't know is we got a wakeup call at our front door early this morning as his family (and soon to be mine) secretly flew in from OH and surprised the hell out of us. Anyway, hope everyone's Fourth is a good and safe time had by all.

I wish every one from all nations a happy day (You choose your own national day). As for me - A couple of steaks one a grill, smoking with some old Jack Daniels casks, a beer (or 4), and my family around. What more could a guy want!

We're off to crappy-ass Temecula for the weekend to visit friends (hey, it's only going to be 105 degrees there!), so we probably won't be around here for a few days. Everyone have a wonderful holiday weekend (even you and your wacky wife, Heroic!) and we'll see you all when we get back.

Hugs to ALL and especially our brave and dedicated service men and women who can't be with us celebrating. Grill a steak, raise a beer, and send your positive energy out to them.

I would like to wish all a safe and happy Independence Day. To those in the Rainy Midwest and North East, I hope there is some sunshine over the weekend and if not, remember grills are not meant for indoor use .
