Well, it's almost time to head over to Vegas for the Adult Entertainment Expo again. It promises to be lots of fun!

Two years ago, we stayed off the strip in the Lady Luck. This year, we're going to be right on the strip, closer to the show and the crowds.

Do you have a favorite spot in Vegas you like to go every time you're there? I'm hoping we can do a little more exploring this time (I'm even buying better shoes for walking and standing in) and I'd like to see some of those hidden treasures!

Oh, I'm jealous! Capt. and I talked to Freddy about potentially attending AVN...but the timing has just not worked out. Have a great time and take pics to post!

Still, I DO want to know what others would do if they had the opportunity to go to Vegas for AVN. We won't be spending 24 hours a day at the show and despite the fact that we'll be busy and working hard (believe it or not, these shows can be real work) I am looking for ideas to relax and enjoy the fact that we're in VEGAS.

Don't be jealous, just try to find ways to make it next year! I'll be pretty stressed because I'll be missing some of the first week of the next term, but hopefully I can manage to take a load off and enjoy it! What a way to celebrate my birthday!

We've got a few places we like to go. For gambling you can't beat going to O'Sheas casino during the day. The prices are low and it's usually pretty much empty especially before noon. The casino is a dump, but we always seem to win there versus the other casinos.

Definitely get F&E to take you to Roy's OMFG they've got awesome food! A trip to the top of the Stratosphere at night is always a good bet if you haven't done it before. Of course the fountains at Bellagio, pirate show at TI, and canal ride at Venetian are pretty good as well.

There used to be a place, you could go... they let you rent submachineguns, assault rifles, and machineguns all to shoot on their indoor range. As if the convention won'r make me enough of a walking erection, all I'd need is the smell of cordite and beltfed weapons. I don't Martha Stewart could get the stains out of my shorts after that.

Look at the concert listings to see who is playing at The Joint in the Hard Rock (I've seen Duran Duran, Erasure, and Elvis Costello there,) And other venues like The MGM Grand and The Beach at Mandalay Bay.

Blue Man Group is worth the ticket price, but Zumanity is hot. Go to see the light show projected on the canopy over Fremont Street. (I think it's every hour until midnight, and it's free.) NYNY has the biggest Arcade on the strip, the tournament of kings at Excalibur has some giggles and good food.

We always stay at the Luxor, I've been into Egypt since I was a little kid. I saw The Matrix: Reloaded there in the IMAX theater. (The bar next to the theater there does Margaritas by the Yard. You'll understand when you get there.)

Do a search of strip clubs there, do a little homework and see if there are any that match your tastes and comfort levels.

We look at it this way. We can get live shows, concerts, hotels, and porn at home. We can get roller coasters at Disneyland. I can shoot full-auto here: www.impactguns.com -When we go to Vegas, we leave the kids home for a reason.

Well, two years ago we stayed at the Lady Luck and were treated to the Fremont Street Experience. I'm fairly certain we can't afford any actual shows, and although we had fun last time just wandering the strip and I'm thinking we'll probably do it again, I'm really just curious if there's one main thing anyone does every time they go. Shows are definitely on the menu for a year where we're not this broke... and Ranger is already planning for a Yard of Margarita. Go figure.

I'm extra lucky since my best friend has decided to fly in for the last 24 hours of our trip, and we haven't gotten drunk together in about 5 years. Oh yes...

Tales of our escapades will definitely come once we're home (apparently the Tropicana is stingy with wifi)
