Welcome to the May 2004 Freddy and Eddy Newsletter!

It's been awhile since we've sent out one of these newsletters, so we hope
you haven't forgotten to visit during the long hiatus. We've been busy with an
insurmountable pile of products and diabolical DVD's, so catching up has been
darned near impossible of late. I (Freddy) am in the home stretch of my school
year, scarily anticipating my coming career change from years of teaching to
full-time Freddy and Eddy web-guy, while Eddy is busily preparing the numbers
and scouting a location for our retail store, hopefully opening late this year
here in Venice Beach. Huge changes for sure, but we've always felt change is a
good thing and this will give us time to spend more time together, eliminate our
commutes, and make and shape our own financial destinies.

As for the website, we will be adding content on a daily basis, rather than
doing one or two major updates per month, as has been the pattern over the last
2 1/2 years. This will hopefully keep things interesting and fresh, giving you
folks a reason to stop by more often with something new to see each time. We'll
also be hanging around in the
Message Boards
and Chat Room more often to
get and provide feedback in a more timely manner and we plan to update the
Food and
Travel sections much
more frequently from now on.

Reviews front, our latest additions include the

think it needs better organization.. like different ways to organize the
reviews..like best rated w/ viewers, best rating by u guys, price, most trusted
brands that perform...yada yada.. otherwise its a great site.. just need to
rework some areas to make it sound like u guys giving your own opinion instead
of some hidden secret sales agents for certain items.. there are some items on
this site that can be not found anywhere else on teh internet.. either u guys
are really exclusive or have some kind of commission worked out... i assume that
u guys r just exclusive ;-)"

The answer to the first part of this one is that we are currently trying to
find ways of better organizing things all-around, perhaps putting each category
of product (i.e. vibrators, dildos, supplements, lubes, etc.) into their own
pages, as sub categories under the Product Review link on our Main Page. Just
know that we are working on it and any suggestions you folks can provide will be
appreciated.

As for the comment about "...some hidden secret sales agents for certain
items..." all we can say is that we only publish reviews of products we actually
like and refuse to publish negative reviews, period. The way we get products are
two ways; one, companies or individuals send us their wares for free and we get
around to using them when we have time or, two, we see something interesting and
simply fork over the cash and buy it, hoping it delivers something good to our
sex lives (we do this a lot with DVD's). Regardless of how we get something, we
give every product we receive or buy a full evaluation from BOTH of us and then
write every review TOGETHER. If something is more woman or man-centric, either I
or Eddy will write the review individually and then share it for comments and
revisions from each other before publishing to the website.

As for sales, if we like a product, can get it at a decent price from a
distributor (hopefully local to our area), and it's easy to package, we'll put
it into our online store to sell. These orders are fulfilled by us by hand from
our home currently. If sales increase to make this too much of a hassle (fingers
crossed that we eventually have this problem), we'll make some sort of other
arrangements. Some products are too large for us to deal with or cost too much
to commit to stocking, so we then try to find other resellers (websites, mostly)
who have affiliate programs and will pay a small commission for referring sales
over to them. Our arrangement with

Wild in Secret, for example, works in this manner. We also have an affiliate
page with vendors offering all sorts of different (mostly adult) products whom
we hope you'll patronize, thereby helping our site.

Amazon, for instance, is a destination that will pay a tiny (1-3%)
commission if you click through us to get there. One thing of which to be aware,
however, is that we will NOT exclude any reviews just because we can't make any
money on the products and indeed over half our reviews will generate no income
to us whatsoever.
