From the erotic stories board to erotic writings? so that all but stories may be posted there when dealing with the topic at hand.... cause some people don't write stories, they write poety (like myself)... so i thought it would be better to call it that rather then stories...

Well, as a poet and erotica writer, I think the board name is probably fine in general because more stories are posted than poems - it doesn't mean poetry and other stuff isn't welcome!!!

Okay... can't complain there... lol

One more thing... looking through the member directory, i have noticed a ton of people with no posts at all... ever thought of doing a monthly clean of members who have no posts to free up server space? and not only that, you will also have only active members on your board by doing so which will encourage a lot more people to join, hopefully... know what i mean? just a thought...

Freddy & Ang. sounds like an excellent idea to me... perhaps you sohuld give each moderator a section of the alphabet to be responsible for and make sure only active members remain on the boards?

I think it can be done quite simply with one or two clicks - just pick the inactive period and zap. Ang, look into it, ok?

It's already in progress, the moderators have their assigned letters and it is quite simple, detailed in the moderator's forum.

How far back are you going? A year without a post?

Check the rules thread for the definition of what we're nixing, but here's the basic rundown -

If someone registered more than a month ago and still hasn't posted, their account is removed.

If they haven't *visited the site* in over a year, their account is removed *IF* they have less than about 50 posts, although I think I stated in the rules 100.

Another thing I've been checking for the cleanup is if they've only posted once, on the date they registered, and that date is at least 6 months ago, they generally are deleted as well because that indicates they came for one reason or question and then left.

When a member is deleted, it doesn't necessarily delete their posts so it's not like we're going to lose a ton of posts by performing the cleanup thankfully. I'd hate to lose all that great discussion.
